Module A1–1: Abuse
Abuse refers to harmful behaviour that violates a person’s rights, dignity, or safety. It can be physical, emotional, sexual, financial, or neglect-based.
Key features:
- Physical harm or threats
- Emotional control or manipulation
- Neglect of basic needs
- Financial exploitation
Impact:
- Trauma, anxiety, PTSD
- Low self-esteem

Important note: Abuse is never justified, even if the person experiencing it has difficulties such as addiction or mental illness.

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition affecting attention, impulsivity, and activity levels.
Types:

Symptoms:

- Interrupting others
Causes:
