ABOUT MY POEMS
You may wonder why I write about love a lot in my poetry. I
started writing poetry in 1997 at the age of 27 nearly 28. My relationship had
broken up with Anthony very badly at that time.
Not every poem is only about Anthony, there are poems about
many other friendships and relationships too. (The good and the bad times.)
One day I was walking along Bilston college library, looking
at poetry books without planning to. Suddenly I found myself reading John
Keat's poems, his work was connected with what I was going through at the time.
I studied his work and wrote my own poems, which helped me learn how to come to
terms with my break down over my relationship at that time.
When I think about it now I shouldn't have taken it as hard as
I did but if I didn't, I question would I have written poetry? To be truthful,
I don't know.
I do write about other things but I sent a lot of work off to
publishers, they chose my love poems. The publishers I used was Poetry Now.
They wanted me to write about people homeless at Christmas, so I wrote The
Youngest Mind, which isn't about me, it's about what could be going through the
minds of homeless people not just at Christmas but all year round.
These poems haven't just been written. My last poem was
published in 2002 and first was published 1998. I haven't given up poetry, I
just haven't had luck with publishing since my first publishers charged too
much.
If you want, I can next:
turn this into a proper book introduction (polished version)
or make an Easy Read introduction page
or format everything into a full poetry collection manuscript

Blog – Introduction
(Tuesday, 6 August 2013)
Introduction
Hi everyone, happy New Year and I hope you have had a nice
Christmas.
Firstly, I want to say thank you for your comments over the
years to those who have left them, and I’m sorry I haven’t always replied to
those who may still be reading. Thank you for your patience.
I have no excuse other than being thoughtless at times.
I have had this website for 18 years with the support of my
mum and sister. We set it up just after my nan died.
This website is not only about me, but also for others who
face similar experiences—families, parents, friends, teachers, support workers,
carers, and anyone involved in understanding and supporting people with
disabilities and mental health challenges.
Even though I focus on my own first-hand experiences of
disabilities and mental illness, I also hope the site connects with those who
enjoy art, poetry, and expression in general.
We all have different opinions on what is good and bad. I
would not call myself a good artist, but I would call myself a good poet. It is
simply words and pictures trying to express what I am feeling and thinking.
As you may imagine, I do not always know who my readers are.
Now, saying this, you may be thinking it is about time I start
making changes. I agree in some ways. πΏ Fairy Tale Verse & Reflections
(1997–2012)
✨ Fairy
Tale Verse (1997–2000)
I used to dream about what love would be when I was growing
up.
I used to dream about meeting my handsome prince.
Now it feels as if there’s no such thing as Fairy Tale land —
which there is not.
I must accept that there’s no such man as Mr Right.
I used to think he must be my king and I must be his queen.
We would have had plenty of princes and princesses.
But now I am glad it did not happen in this day and age.
One day I woke up knowing that I had a Fairy Tale dream,
which turned out to be sad — but maybe in a way is a good
thing.
π 11th
September 2001 (Reflections written 2002)
It’s hard to forget the two towers falling down in New York.
The 11th of September 2001 is on your mind all the time.
It’s hard to sleep, you feel so weak.
It’s such a shock when you lose the people you love.
This has given so much danger to buildings and homes.
Remembering the people you knew for who they were.
Heaven should be a peaceful place for them.
No one else will be the same to you, but sadly life goes on.
They are in their own worlds, sleeping and dreaming in peace.
They want you to live day by day.
They want you to live better lives than they did.
You can’t be sad all the time.
Every 11th September will be a reminder —
not to stay in sadness, but to remember the happy times.
⚔ Fright
and Fear (March 2003)
Does anyone know whether Bush and Blair have done the right
thing with this war?
I don’t think they have.
This war could kill the world with crime on top.
The world wants peace and love, not greed and war.
We want to keep away from people who hate us.
Don’t kill.
We will live in heaven to give peace and love,
or in hell if such a thing exists.
This is a message to people who want war:
you will live and dwell in destruction.
π I Don’t
Believe What I Hear (March 2003)
Many times I have woken up hoping the war was just a
nightmare.
We are still trying to find out who was to blame for September
11th 2001.
Proof or not — why jump the gun?
It could be anybody. It may even be more than one.
These things need to be looked into slowly and carefully.
The British government is giving the British people a bad
name,
when not every British person is to blame.
Did Saddam Hussein cause the war? Who knows.
Why let more and more people get killed?
❓ What’s
Going to Happen? (March 2003)
What a nightmare that’s so true.
What is this world coming to?
Is this World War Three?
How many lives will be lost around the world?
How much will this war cost — in lives and money?
Will we all end up with no world left?
No one can see the future.
Tomorrow is just another day.
π Peace
(17.03.2003)
We want this war to be over.
We want our lives to be lived to the full.
Be happy to live your life how you want.
No one knows how any of us will end up.
❤️ Love
(May 2003)
Give the world as much love as you can.
It takes all kinds of people to make war —
but also to give love.
We are all in the same boat, fearing for lives —
our own and others.
We should get through this together
by loving and supporting one another.
Be brave enough to take it day by day.
⚖ War and
Peace (2003–2012)
What a life.
Make sure you have good times.
Try to get through the bad times.
Everyone starts young and ends old, learning along the way.
There are too many people risking their lives for others.
Too many dangerous people in this world.
Heaven could be the most peaceful place — if it exists.
π©π§ Mothers
and Children (May 2003)
Mothers and children suffering from war.
Babies born during war.
Life can be shortened by war,
but we can still be strong enough to pull through.
Lives everywhere are at risk with bombs going off in schools.
Never knowing how many live and how many die.
π Hurt
(May 2003)
Sleeping and hanging around the streets feeling weak.
No one knows what the future holds.
Children in care without families of their own.
So much terror — they need peace and love.
It is cruel when young people lose their lives so soon.
How do we heal wounds from fear and trauma?
❓ Who Is?
(May 2003)
Who caused the 11th September 2001 attacks?
Nobody really knows.
No one should jump to conclusions.
Anyone could be responsible.
π― Death
(May 2003)
We all suffer loss of love.
It brings pain to everyone.
Through war, illness, accidents —
all we have left are memories.
One life ends, another begins.
π Coping
(May 2003)
No one to talk to.
No one cares.
I look at the stars at night
and make a private wish.
I accept that life and death are unknown.
People may judge what I do or say.
❓ Why, Why
Not?
Why not peace, love and freedom?
Why so much pain?
Why do bad people destroy the world?
The bad may die — but it doesn’t bring back the good.
π What
Next?
Why is the tunnel so dark?
Why can’t we see the light?
Will we ever find peace and love?
Will we feel human again?
π₯ People
People who are unlucky often hide their feelings.
They smile while hurting inside.
Some rich people are greedy.
Some poor people are the kindest.
What is life all about?
Does anyone truly understand the human brain?
π What a
Life (2003–2012)
Iraqi people have suffered under Saddam Hussein.
Britain and America face crime and conflict too.
Wars bring fear, confusion, and loss.
Soldiers want to return home safely.
π€ Humanity
We are all human beings.
There should be no war between us.
Black or white — we are all human.
Life is too short for hate.
We must help one another, not harm one another.
π± Thoughts
They lose their lives to save others.
We should love one another after loss.
We will never know how long life lasts.
But we all want peace and love.
π Will It
Ever End?
Why is there war?
Will it ever end?
There is no point in fighting.
We are all suffering in different ways.
Life becomes wasted if you let it.
So make the most of it.
π Children
Children wake up crying from nightmares.
Fear is everywhere.
Bombs, shootings, bullying, abuse —
there is enough violence already.
Give children love and safety.
Help them be brave and strong.
πͺ Strength
to Carry On (2003)
I can taste fear, see fear, feel fear.
Bombs, guns, and planes fill the sky.
Give love, care, and support.
Walk from darkness into light.
We are lucky to have survived history.
Every day is a kind of battle — but we carry on.
πΏ Nature
& Human Life
Why is humanity like this?
Why so much fighting and killing?
War destroys young lives.
It is not nature — it is human cruelty.
We must choose peace over destruction.
Freedom and happiness over fear.
❓ What’s
It All About?
What is the point of life if there is war?
We are born, grow, live — then die.
So much pain and suffering.
We must treat each other with respect.
I am sorry for repeated posts in the past, but I am going to
try this year to delete some older posts and replace them with new ones. I also
hope to bring in new content that may not have appeared on this website before.
At the moment, I am not even fully sure what that will be—but I am working on
it.
At present, for many reasons I will not go into, I am not
working or studying. However, I will continue raising awareness around
disability and mental health, and I will keep writing poetry and creating work
in other forms.
What may be new is that I have been doing a lot more artwork,
and I am going to try to share it here as well.
One thing I have never properly said sorry for is my spelling,
grammar, and sometimes not making sense. So, I want to apologise for that now.
I hope it does not take away from what I am trying to express, even if it is
not perfect.
It may take me quite a while to finish this post alone, as I
have so much to do, so I appreciate your patience.
I hope to achieve a lot by the end of this new year, and
hopefully it will be more interesting than before. At the same time, I
understand I cannot please everyone—and I am sorry for that.
This is due to my disabilities and other challenges, but I
will always try my best to make things as clear and meaningful as I can.

πΏ Cats and
Mice (2009)
Cats live outdoors with muddy paws.
Their claws can be sharp.
They sleep on beds, chairs, and floors.
Cats eat anything and everything.
One thing is that cats chase mice.
Most cats give people a present of mice,
which most people do not find very nice.
Mice may look sweet,
but not when they are after your feet.
They go in kitchens, food cupboards, and under tables.
πΈ Frogs
Frogs look bright and green.
They look rather nice to see.
You never see frogs through fog on a dark cold night.
They sleep, keeping warm.
You see frogs in rain, day or night.
π¦ The
Weather
Every day the weather changes from better to worse.
When you wear a coat, the sun shines.
When you wear shorts, the rain comes down.
If the weather stayed the same, it would be boring.
You can never win the weather game.
❄ Winter
Mornings
A winter morning can look like night.
Cold makes it hard to go to school or work.
Grey skies turn dark by afternoon.
Winter mornings are harsh and cold.
π§ Winter
Weather
It’s far too cold to be without you.
I hate long nights alone.
Floods come and go.
Summer rains still leave ground wet and muddy.
♿ We Are
Disabled, We Are Happy
If you are in a wheelchair, you may want to walk.
If you can walk, you may want to be faster.
If you are older, you may want to be young.
When sad, you want happiness.
We are sometimes happy, sometimes sad.
We need people to cheer us up.
π Please
Give Me a Good Night
Shall we stay at your place or mine?
Shall we make love on the living room floor?
No one knows everything about love.
Life is a learning journey.
❤️ Love
Verse
When I’m with you, I have no problem being in love.
Food makes love stronger.
I could never go veggie or I could not love.
I need meat and fish to love you more.
❄ January
January cold wind cuts through your neck.
It causes sore noses and colds.
I miss coal fires for warmth.
π¦· Dentist
I hate going to the dentist.
The hooks between teeth hurt.
It’s good it is only every six months.
π© My
Mother Tells Me
My mother says I look like my father.
But I don’t have his big nose.
Women don’t have beards because of hormones.
Men’s hormones cause beard growth.

I have long flat ears and wag my tail. → πΆ Dog
I have a fluffy coat and am ridden. → π΄ Horse
I wake you at 4am and sing. → π¦ Bird
I bring luck and am black. → π Cat
π± Moving
On, Moving Life
Birds leave the nest.
Dogs wake and eat.
Life never stands still.
Life changes like chapters in a book.
π΅ When I
Get Old and Grey
My hair will turn grey and white.
I will still write and study.
I will sit and think about life.
I hope I will still be happy.
π Animal
Maths
Animals have different legs:
Dogs, cats, cows = 4 legs
Hens, ducks = 2 legs
Maths is sometimes confusing!
πΈ Spring
Spring is wonderful.
Birds sing and lambs are born.
Ducks lay eggs in nests.
Life feels fresh again.
π¦ Birds
Birds wake at 4am singing.
The world knows spring has arrived.
π€ I Am a
Human Being
I am a human being like everyone else.
I smile, cry, feel happy and sad.
I have a disability, but I am still human.
I deserve equal life and respect.
π§ My
Childhood
I remember dolls like Tiny Tears and Baby Alive.
They felt real when fed.
Childhood memories stay forever.
π³ Trees
Trees feel like humans in seasons.
They grow, lose leaves, and rest in winter.
They need care, love, and attention too.
π What Is
Life Like in Heaven?
What is heaven like?
Is it peaceful?
Is it different from earth?
No one really knows.
π What
Makes Us Happy?
We all search for happiness.
Sometimes we find it, sometimes we don’t.
Love comes when you are not looking for it.
π The
World Today
The world feels more dangerous now.
There is less love and more fear.
We miss people who inspired happiness.
π¨ Men and
Love
I feel anger and confusion about my father.
I wanted a relationship that didn’t happen.
Life is complicated and painful sometimes.
π Family
Pain
Not having a father figure hurts deeply.
It affects relationships and emotions.
I try to move forward and cope.
π±
Forgiveness
I forgive you, Dad.
But I still feel sadness.
I will try to move forward.
Life must continue.
π Mothers
Mothers are always there.
They guide, help, and support us.
Families can be difficult but important.

π Nature,
Seasons & Imagery
Hunting horse (8.9.2002)
Hunting horse of the night.
The birds flying at such a height.
The army running out to fright for their country and their
lives.
Ships sailing on the rough sea on a rough windy night not a
pretty site.
Hunting for food for children and wives.
Life two (8.9.2002)
Bare winter trees without leaves.
Summer starting and ending so quickly.
No flowers in a glass, just mud.
Loads of snow or no snow to make a snowman.
Birds not to be seen, only robins singing as they fly and flap
their wings.
Other birds keep themselves warm hiding until the spring.
Children playing in the snow passing the days away into the
Christmas holidays.
Christmas bells ringing and people singing for the white
Christmas season.
Keep your eyes closed children Father Christmas is on his way
to give your presents on Christmas day.
The weather (8.9.2002)
The sunshine
The blowing wind
The stars of the night
The voice that goes through the wild wind of the night.
Being sheltered under the hut from rain.
The gates blowing back and to from the wind.
No wild wind or rain, it's time to play.
I hear someone calling me.
Day light there's not a star in the sky but maybe a cloud in
the sky.
The shadow is following me.
Who could it be?
The winter (8.9.2002)
The snow may look white and pretty but it's cold outside.
The evenings become grey and short: the nights become dark and
long.
Dark early mornings that look like night.
I love the sun, sand and sea (8.9.2002)
The hot summer not cold winter.
Not too hot just warm.
Blue sky, blue sea and yellow sand.
That says it all.
Flashes of lightning (8.9.2002)
The crack of lightning flashing of white sparks.
Rain running and rushing so fast in the middle of the night
faster than water running out the tap.
Wet hair and clothes.
The nightingale (8.9.2002)
The nightingale the bird of love and romance.
The turtle dove who sings sweet romance songs of love.
The poet's dream is the art of love.
No broken heart: heart of love.
Passion is another way of love.
The rose of love (8.9.2002)
The red rose is the sign of romance.
To hear the song of love.
To dream about romance.

Relationships & Emotion
Putting on a brave face (25.1.2002)
I used to sit with my head in my hands.
I wanted to hide away from the world.
I did not want to hear or seen the world anymore.
I felt like knocking my head on the brick wall.
When I lost the man I loved so much, I found it so hard to
move on.
When people looked at me, I always thought I'd done something
wrong.
Picking myself up (25.1.2002)
I felt as if the whole world was coming down on me.
I never thought I'd get used being with and without the one I
love.
I never thought he'd love me again.
It was hard to love someone else after loving him so long.
Deep down I knew I loved him.
He was so lucky to get me back.
You (8.9.2002)
You bring me happiness.
You give me love.
You tell me wonderful things that I dream about every night.
You give me lovely thoughts to think about the day.
Hoping that our future lies together.
To feel (8.9.2002)
I need to feel I am next to you.
I love you.
You are mine to be.
I've known you far too long to stop loving you.
Your face is with me when I don't see you.
Me (8.9.2002)
Sometimes I feel alone.
I don't always feel happy.
You can't be happy all the time but you can't be sad all the
time.
I am happy with you.
Time to sleep (9.4.2002)
When it's time to sleep, I dream nice things about you.
I don't want a lot of money, just enough for food, clothes,
etc and to be with you.
My love (26.5.2002)
My love is lost completely without you.
My future is nothing without you.
Now that you are back I am very happy again.
I hope you are here to stay this time.
Time goes slow (20.1.2002)
Time goes slow when nothing is going on.
Time goes slow when you are waiting for something to happen.
When you don't want anything to happen it happens too quickly.
Lovers part two (8.9.2002)
Two hearts.
Four arms.
Two lips to kiss.

Warmth
Love
Words (8.9.2002)
Words can mean anything from the heart and mind.
Words can be said or written down without thinking about it
most of the time.
Studying poetry (8.9.2002)
I am studying to remind myself how I can interest my readers.
Sometimes I can think of a subject, other times I can't.
I dream to be a poet (8.9.2002)
I dream to be mostly a romantic poet.
I dream to write fiction and non fiction.
I dream to understand the minds of animals and human beings.
Why do I write? (8.9.2002)
I enjoy writing to put pen to paper.
Any subject that comes to mind.
I hope I interest my readers at the time.
Life three (26.5.2002)
It makes you wonder why we were ever born.
It makes you wonder why there is a world.
My memory and mind goes blank to know what to write all the
time.
The Queen Mother (9.4.2002)
She was a very special lady who worked and lived through the
two world wars.
I hope she will rest in peace.
She will be missed by us all.
π Society,
War & Humanity
Children of today (2002 onwards)
What is the world coming to?
There's no respect for any of us.
Epilepsy (26.5.2002)
My head is aching like someone has put a bomb inside it.
Flashing lights are worse.
Loud noises scare the life out of me.

Granddaddy Who
I was in the sixth form of Penn Hall School twenty-five years
ago. I have found it hard to tie my shoe laces all my life. This is no fun at
all.
Getting ready for swimming and PE was a big nightmare in
school.
All of a sudden Mrs Hard shouted at me:
“Come along child, I want everyone in the mini bus!”
I lost my temper because she was in a rush but she wouldn't
help me tie my shoe laces.
“Can you help me, please Miss?”
“No, you should know how to get yourself ready at your age.”
✨ The
Arrival of Granddaddy Who
Granddaddy Who cast a nasty spell on Mrs Hard with his magic
walking stick.
All of a sudden an old man with a bald head and glasses
appeared, holding a magic walking stick.
He came from just thin air out of the ceiling.
“My name is Granddaddy Who. Now Mrs Hard, you tie your shoes!”
Mrs Hard jumped out of her skin with shock. As Granddaddy Who
came down from the ceiling, she went up towards the ceiling. She had gone out
of thin air.
“Ow!” screamed Mrs Hard.
Granddaddy Who had magical superhero powers.
π§ What
this piece shows in your writing
Strong imagination and fantasy storytelling
Childhood/school experience blended with humour and justice
A clear “power reversal” theme (student vs authority)
Creative use of dialogue and dramatic action
Visual, film-like scenes (very cinematic writing style)
Able Mable turned into Marvellous Mable.
Able Mable turned into Marvellous Mable, she had a magic
table.
Marvellous Mable made people's dreams come true, at Penn Hall
School so long ago.
The magic table turned into a rowing boat that ran down the
stream, if you know what I mean.
A fish jumped into the boat as I screamed.
A very heavy rain full came down as a sudden sound and flash
of lighting, as I jumped I got soaking wet.
The boat turned into a racing car as I drove very fast, then
it turned into a plane, as the plane I blew up into a puff of smoke.
All of a sudden we had gone into thin air.
Marvellous Mable had magical Superhero powers.

## The Single Rose
When the wind blows it opens one single rose.
When the rain comes down the whole roses are very washed down.
When spring has just started lovers have ran.
When summer is on it's way lovers pick roses everyday.

Eating ice cream on a hot summer's day in the park.
Eating fish and chips, kissing and hugging wrapped up warm on
a cold winter's night in the dark.

Drinking in the pub getting drunk, hugging and kissing.

I am sitting writing poetry about you.
Thinking about you as I do.
You love me like I love you.
You're not only my lover but my best friend.
What happens happens.

Protecting yourself from gas and smoke with a gas mask.
Bombs going off and going mad.
Boots getting stuck in the mud.
Sore wounds as one moves from place to place.

Young men and women being poisoned by gas.
Worrying about losing loved ones.

& Understanding Support
What are learning disabilities?
There are all kinds of disabilities in all kinds of people.
Some people have one disability, others have more than one.
Disabilities can be physical or mental depending on the cause
and when they happened, which could be before, during, or after birth.
Mental disabilities affect the brain, and physical
disabilities affect the body. Some people have both.
Disabilities can affect everyday life by slowing thinking or
movement, which can make learning harder.
Some people wrongly think people with disabilities are “thick”
because they take longer to learn. But that is not true. Everyone can learn —
just at different speeds.
Slower does not mean worse. It often means careful learning,
and better understanding over time.
Most things in life are easier with support. Without the right
support, people can be left out of education, work, and society.
Learning disabilities can affect:
Cooking
Shopping
Washing and dressing
Work and education
Making friends and relationships
People with disabilities can feel like “the odd ones out”, but
they are not. They just need the right help and understanding.
How can we help?
We can help people with disabilities by:
Giving the right support
Listening properly
Being patient
Treating everyone equally
Giving people choices in life
Everyone deserves the same rights and respect.

Poems & Life Reflections (2001–2010)
You are never happy (26.9.2010)
You spent so long trying to get me out of your life, that’s
what it felt like.
Now that I have gone, you miss me. You don’t know what you had
until you lose it.
At the time you really hurt me, but I really loved you.
Now I don’t love you anymore.
You have only yourself to blame.
Things on your mind (30.9.2010)
There are things on your mind all the time.
Most of the time you think about things from the past.
Even when you try to forget, you don’t.
Some memories are hard to talk about and never understood.
For me, it happened at school.
People told me it was “all in my mind”, but it was always
there.
I have learning disabilities, so I don’t understand things the
same way as others.
But I am not alone.
Unheard voice (30.9.2010)
When you have learning disabilities, people often treat you
like a child.
Even as an adult, you are not always listened to.
I was not believed when I was younger.
I carried that pain into adulthood.
It is hard to explain things when people don’t listen.
But I know what happened, even if I cannot explain it
properly.
Time to go to bed
It was time for bed, but my mind would not rest.
Other children slept, but I could not.
I held my teddy bear and felt alone.
I didn’t understand my thoughts or feelings.
I was too young to know what was happening.
It’s hard to talk
I cried all night.
I felt alone even when I was with other children.
I didn’t know how to explain what I felt.
People said I shouldn’t talk about it.
So I stayed silent.
Time to listen to children
Children need to be listened to.
If a child repeats something often, it may be important.
Children with disabilities need extra understanding.
Not all children lie.
Some children are telling real experiences that need
attention.
You only live once
Life is short.
Help people who need support.
Everyone deserves a chance.
Some people are left out because they need more help.
But needing help does not mean being less important.
Get by (2.10.2010)
Life is hard sometimes.
Money is tight.
But I will get through it like I always do.
I miss people even when I see them.
There is not enough time in life to say everything.
Rape (31.10.2010)
Rape has damaged my mind.
It affected me for many years.
Some memories are still there.
But flashbacks are less now than before.
It has been hard to explain.
But I survived.
My love (2002)
My love was lost, then found again.
I didn’t understand what was happening at first.
Now I am happy again.
I just hope it stays this time.
Love and pain (10.10.2010)
Love is easy to feel.
But walking away from pain is hard.
People can break your heart without warning.
Love and pain often come together.
Why do I love you?
Why do I love you?
I don’t know.
You are kind and loving.
But love also brings pain.
Here you go again (10.10.2010)
You hurt me more than once.
Now it is too late.
I moved on.
You only want me back because I am gone.
The loser
I thought you were the one.
But I was wrong.
You played with my feelings.
Now I see clearly.
I don’t love you anymore.
Changes (4.11.2010)
Time to heal.
Time for peace.
Time to rebuild life.
We learn from mistakes.
We grow stronger.
My secret lover (4.11.2010)
I care about you.
But I am scared to show it.
We must take time.
If it is meant to be, it will happen.
You mean the world (10.10.2010)
I was broken before I met you.
Now I feel love again.
But I am afraid to lose you.
I don’t want to be hurt again.

Birds fly high.
War and danger around.
Life is hard.
People survive for family and survival.
Life two
Seasons change.
Winter is cold.
Summer is bright.
Life keeps moving.
Putting on a brave face
I looked strong outside.
But inside I was breaking.
I tried to hide my pain.
Picking myself up
I was broken.
But I stood again.
Love is hard but I keep going.
You
You bring me happiness.
You bring me hope.
I dream of our future.
The weather
Wind, rain, sunshine.
Life changes like weather.

Birds sing of love.
Romance and hope.
The rose of love
Red rose means love.
Romance and dreams.
Loneliness

Epilepsy
My body feels strange.
Lights hurt me.

Hard life underground.
Danger and suffering.
People worked to survive.
Drinking too much
Fun at first.
Pain later.
Life is balance.

I write to express myself.
I hope people understand me.
I want to help people
I want to support others.
No one should be alone.
Hope
Life continues after death.
Love may continue too.

Do we return as animals or humans?
Life is mystery.

Poets
Poets speak truth.
Their words live forever.
Great Granny

Time poems (summary)

π΅ LIFE AND
MUSIC WITHOUT YOU
I would have loved to have come to see you sing.
I only wish I had done it now. It’s too late.
No one else is you.
Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor are great too.
Paul Rodgers is great, but he will be Alright Now in Free.
Queen isn’t Queen without you, Freddie Mercury too.
π FOR MY
NAN… ARE YOU THERE?
You are there.
There is a bright star in the sky at night.
This is you. You are there.
The stars are good people like you in heaven.
You shine in the sky, still close, still loved, still
remembered.
π HOPING
TO MOVE ON
Hope is sometimes called wishful thinking.
We shouldn’t build our hopes up too much these days.
Jobs are very hard to find, so I am not missing much.
The fact I can’t work makes me unsure what I want to do when I
go back to college in September.
I have passed some exams, which I hope will help me with my
voluntary work at Mencap.
Where do I go from here?
Where is the light in the tunnel?
You are there…
π PERSONAL
MESSAGE
I miss you Nan.
Love from Sara x
𧩠NO ONE
KNOWS NO ONE
You made me to be in this world.
The first twenty-one years of my life, you weren’t there.
I was no one to you. At least it felt that way.
You were no one to me. It seemed as if I wasn’t anyone to you
because I never saw you.
When I first met you at the age of twenty-one, I thought we
had put the pieces of the jigsaw together. But I was wrong.
Now I feel as if a piece of the jigsaw is missing in me again.
I think I have lost myself again.
Perhaps part of me was always missing, and always will be.
π§ Missing
pieces
Why do I feel like two human beings are missing from my life
too?
Why do I feel like they are asking themselves unanswered
questions, like I did as a child?
I want to help them because I know how it feels. It is like
being in the dark.
It feels like I am feeling the same way again as I did as a
child, knowing that my half brother and sister are going through the same as I
did.
I am their half big sister. Of course I want to be there for
them and help them.
π
Questions without answers
You are not going to help them, are you?
Don’t you realise what you have done and how it has affected
our minds?
The past doesn’t matter. I have been there all my life.
I never knew why this had to be, but it doesn’t matter now.
It is not about me anymore.
It is about my younger half brother and sister.
I am the past. They are the present and the future.
πΏ The
present and the future
How do you think this is going to affect their lives?
Why do I feel like the useless big half sister?
No one knows no one.
It is all a mystery.

⚖️ WHY
CAN’T WE?
I’m speaking for the rights of people with disabilities.
If we haven’t got those rights, we should have them.
We should be treated equally to non-disabled people.
Some people have these rights. Others don’t.
We know it can never be a perfect world, but it can be an

Questions about life
How many of us live alone?
How many of us still live with our families?
How many of us have families of our own?
How many of us work?
How many of us don’t work?
How many of us are stuck in a benefit trap?
How many of us are in education?
How many of us live like non-disabled people, but only with
the right support?
π· Rights
and support
We all understand that funding can be a problem.
But the government should spend money on the right things to
protect people’s rights.

π§ MIND
BLINDNESS
In our minds, we can spend our lives feeling angry with
ourselves.
Some people think we want to hurt their feelings because of
what we say, what we may not say, what we do, or what we may not do. But we
don’t.
It is hard for people to understand us unless they have Autism
themselves.
π§©
Understanding difference
Don’t get us wrong — not everything is done by accident.
We all have faults, like everyone else.
We make mistakes and we regret things, just like everyone
else.
Autism is not an excuse for anything.
Autism is our disability.
Mind blindness and unawareness are how it affects our lives.
π Impact
on life
Autism can affect friendships, relationships, and even family
relationships.
It can also affect how we understand the world around us.
π FEELING
GUILTY
Autism can make us feel guilty.
It is too easy to be unaware of what we do and don’t say.
It is too easy to be unaware of what we do and don’t do.
What is planned in your mind can come out wrong, or even the
wrong way round.
Things can come across to other people as not good, even when
that is not what was planned in your mind.
π§
Misunderstanding and communication
It is not that you don’t know right from wrong.
What is planned to be one thing can be seen as something
completely different from other people’s point of view.
In a sense, it is like writing an essay — what you mean is not
always how it is understood.
Nobody can be blamed for misunderstanding us.
But we cannot be blamed for having Autism.
π
Acceptance and equality
That does not mean we want to be the center of attention.
We just want to be accepted in society, the same as everyone
else.
We just want to be equal to everyone at the end of the day.
π A NEW
WORLD FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
Think about the number of books we have tried to read, but the
print is too small, too hazy, or the stories are too hard to understand.
Words jump off the page and our eyes start to strain.
We do not mean to make life hard, but we have missed out on a
lot of stories that we could not understand.
π Making
things easier to understand
We would like to make these stories clearer to understand.
Using:
Easy words
Easy pictures
Clear meaning
This would help the next generation of people with
disabilities.
π€ Equality
and support
Let’s support people with disabilities to have equal lives to
everyone.
Let’s open new doors.
EASY WORLD FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
I love poetry like music. Some poems I like, others I don’t.
It is like everything in life really.
π§
Representation in poetry
One thing though — not a lot of poetry is written about people
with disabilities.
Why is that?
Can’t we communicate in your way of thinking?
π¨ Let’s
make things easier and more fun
Let’s have a bit of fun:
Easy pictures
Easy words
Colored paper
Let’s make learning and creativity more accessible.

LET VOICES BE HEARD!
People with disabilities are treated more fairly than what we
used to be, but society still has a long way to go. People's attitudes need to
get towards people with disabilities.
Back in the day children were seen and not heard. We all keep
hoping that those days are gone but we can never build a perfect, if that was
the case it would be boring.
We shouldn't make children scared to used their voices. The
most hardest is when something happens to you is not knowing whether it's right
to tell anyone or not by your choose. Is it your free choice or not, it should
be.
You should be able to choose what you talk about and what you
don't. It should be the same for people with disabilities, people just need to
learn to understand.
I think on the whole we get misbehaved because we're
misunderstood. Please support us to be understood by giving us easy support
aids to support us!
If you read my report about communication support, that's the
support a lot of us need. If it's not good you have the right to know, which
should give you the rights to use your voice if you want.
Does it still stand in society's eyes that children are seen
not heard? Do all hidden voices still stand in all ages of people with
disabilities in the eyes of society?
If we are still living in dark ages, it's about time we moved
on..
What if they try to tell you something, you don't believe or
and understand them!
What if whatever it is in their minds is still there in
adulthood, if they tell you are sure to believe and understand them don't you!
Whether they have a disability or not, please take more time
to listen to them. Whether you are a family member or friend to them.
Next pieces (as requested earlier)
I’ve also kept your other poems/writings in order and
preserved them as a full set below.

HE HOMELESS YOUNGEST MINDS
Nobody in my family loves me.
I know I could have been very naughty, but there is no need
for my family to kick me out on the streets.
I am very frightened to go back home, but I know my family
don't want me.
I know I made a big mistake in thinking I could cope to find
my own home, I just wanted to be an adult far too quickly.
I realise now I was wrong thinking I could cope.
I can't find any food to eat, but bits and piece of bread.
I am sleeping on the hard street floors, but some nights I
sleep in cardboard boxes.
Cold nights feel never ending, and the noise of the world
never stops even when I am trying to sleep.
People walk past like I am not even there, like I am invisible
in the world.
Sometimes I wonder how I got here, and how everything changed
so fast.
I try to stay strong, but it is hard when you are alone and
young in a place that feels so big and empty.
I still hope one day things will change, and I will find a
place where I feel safe again.
A place where I am not scared to sleep.
A place where I can eat properly again.
A place where I am seen as someone, not no one.
Even when life feels like it has broken me, I still hold on to
hope that I can rebuild again.
THERE ARE SO MANY LONELY PEOPLE
In this world we do not realize that there are so many lonely
people.
These lonely people get out of bed every single morning.
Living a life that seems so dull and boring.
These lonely people do not have family or friends to talk to
and see.
When you see the lonely people, they seem more happy than
lucky us.
They have such lovely smiles on their faces.
Where do these lonely people come from?
What on earth can anyone or "The Happy Society" do
for them?
Sometimes loneliness is hidden very well, and people learn to
smile even when they feel empty inside.
Some people pass them every day without knowing their story or
their pain.
Maybe what they need most is not just help, but someone to
notice them and listen.
A small conversation.
A small act of kindness.
A moment where they feel seen.
Because loneliness is not always loud.
Sometimes it is the quietest thing in the world.

THIS IS THE REAL WORLD, NOT A DREAM WORLD.
In fairy tale stories they say you have to kiss a good many
ugly frogs to find your handsome Prince.
In my case I believe I have kissed handsome princes who have
turned into ugly frogs.
Believe me, believe me not, I think my days of kissing
handsome princes have gone.
Because I fear every handsome prince I kiss will turn into an
ugly frog.
All the lovely things I used to dream, I thought would come
true.
Now I am unhappy that everything I ever wanted hasn't happened
to me and no chance will it be.
I blame myself, I fell in love far too young.
Little did I know everything was going to turn out wrong.
Now I can't love at all, because I am frightened of getting
hurt again.
A male and female friendship forever more.
I must keep away from those ugly frogs.
Sometimes dreams and reality don’t match, and that can change
how we see love and trust.
What once felt magical can later feel confusing or painful
when things don’t turn out the way we hoped.
Even so, learning from those experiences can slowly help
someone understand what they need to feel safe again.

GOOD FRIENDSHIP
This may be only friendly love, but to me it is good enough.
I don't think you need a boyfriend and girlfriend to love.
Male and female can still share a friendship to love.
My friendship will be here with you for however long you want
me to be close to you.
I will never go away from you, unless you want me to.
I know we have been through the same thing, I know what you
are going through.
Trying to move on from the people you love or loved is very
hard to do, but somehow we must get on with our lives and get through.
We must try and see a future for ourselves the best way we can
but believe me I do understand that is very hard to do but all the same we must
get through.
Friendship can be one of the strongest kinds of connection,
especially when people have shared similar pain or experiences.
Even when things are difficult, having someone who understands
can make the world feel a little less heavy.

GUILTY AND HIDING FROM THE TRUTH
Going quiet on people when they talk.
Never caring about people's feelings.
Lying to hide away from the truth, because the truth hurts
one.
One is shamed; one is wrong.
For one to tell one, but to get someone else to tell one.
Guilt can sit quietly in a person’s mind, even when nothing is
said out loud.
Sometimes people avoid truth because it feels too painful or
too difficult to face.
But hiding from it can also make things heavier over time,
instead of lighter.

I LOVE YOU; DO YOU LOVE ME TOO?
Your hair is blonde, so soft and thick.
Many times, I have reached out for your love to tell you.
“Darling I love you so true.”
The problem is that you are not with me a lot to say:
“I love you so true too.”
Now I have to wait until I see you again.
I love you so true.
I hope and pray to God that you love me so true too, but I
think or know you do.
Three little words saying “I love you can make you feel so
special.
So can those three little letters.
Poetry is not where I can spell those three little or big
words.
Love often lives in waiting, in distance, and in hope as much
as it does in spoken words.
Sometimes what people feel is strong, but finding the right
moment to say it is not always easy.
LOST LOVE
There's nothing you can do when you lose the person you love.
All you can do is learn to move on and meet a new love.
When long love is lost it's hard to move on.
No matter how hard it is you must move on.
When short love can come before you look.
It is so important to be loved.
Love can't be made, unless you make it.
When love goes down the drain, it can't always be saved.
For goodness sake you must be brave enough to love again.
Love can cause you so much anger, hurt and pain.
Sometimes it's hard to love again.
Sometimes it's hard to live without love and be lonely.
Without love in many ways, life isn't the same.
Love can feel like something that shapes everything around a
person, even after it has gone.
Even when it hurts, people often still carry the hope that
connection and care can return again in time.

I LOVE MY MAN AND HE LOVES ME (From a past relationship)
I love my man he loves me.
I care such a lot about him and he cares such a lot about me.
Ups and downs are to come that is part of life to be.
If it's to be it will be, if it's not to be it won't be.
I hope and pray it will be.
Upsets are sure to happen, but I hope between us we will do
our very best to put whatever problem we have right.
He isn't just my lover; he is also my best friend out of all
males.
I'm sure and hope that he feels the same way as I do about
him.
I hope and pray that we, what future we have to be, brings us
love, relationship and friendship.
Relationships often bring both happiness and challenges, and
people try their best to hold on to what matters most to them.
At the heart of it, love, friendship, and trust are what many
people hope will last through everything.

CRYING OUT FOR LOVE
I must move on again.
Please give me any reason why I shouldn't love someone and
someone should love me?
Why do I feel as if my days of love and romance has gone for
me?
Is there something wrong with me?
How can I share love when no one is there to share love with?
I can't give love to someone when he isn't there to have love
from me.
Whoever you may be, if you're faithful, kind and good looking
please come to me?
I don't mind having serious or playful love, as long as
someone can give me some kind of love, I will be happy to play or stay in
whatever way.
Just any kind of passion that comes my way.
I don't mind playing the field or having forever love.
Sometimes when people feel lonely or hurt, their thoughts
about love can become mixed between hope, longing, and uncertainty.
Even in those moments, the need for connection and
understanding is still very real and human.

MY LONGEST TRUE LOVE
My true love once had a heart that gave me so much love.
I had this heart and I really truly enjoyed his love.
Now he doesn't have a heart anymore, because he isn't now my
love.
He's now with someone forever and for good.
He's not my true love anymore, but he was my first serious
love.
That I will never, ever forget.
I don't think he will find another love like me again.
I don't think I will find another love like him again.
First serious relationships often leave strong memories,
because they shape how someone understands love, loss, and connection in the
future.

DRAGON
Watch your ps and qs when you are talking to the dragon.
She may well blow smoke at you and burn you if you get on the
wrong side of her, she can have the Irish dragon inside her.
Don't be put off by her, she has a nice side too.
Sometimes people use “dragon” as a symbol for someone with a
strong personality—someone who can seem fiery or intense, but also caring and
warm underneath.

PEOPLE
We are all human beings.
We all have different nationalities.
Most people have white skin.
Some people have black skin.
Other people have brown skin.
Some people believe in God others don't.
Some people go to church others don't.
Why don't we just accept each other for the way we all are?
Life is hard enough without making it worse.
Some people have choose to be who they are and what they,
others don't have any choose at all.
Just because one person is black and the other person is
white, it doesn't mean they are not alright.
I understand that not everyone gets on but you can't take away
the way they are or their equal rights.
You have the right to know what people say and think about you
but keep your thoughts to yourself, just walk away!
Why risk been locked away from the world, it's not worth it
for anyone.
No need to hurt or kill.
Why take your anger out on people who are harmless to you, be
strong.
Stick to your own thoughts in life: let others stick to
theirs.
This piece carries a strong message about equality,
acceptance, and choosing peace over harm. It focuses on the idea that
difference is part of being human, not something that divides us.
PEACE AND LOVE
We all have to go by the rules of the law.
We are all prisoners of war in our own countries wherever we
are from.
We are always dreaming of a peaceful and lovable world.
Not a greedy or hateful world.
Why do we hurt and kill one another?
Why can't we respect one another for being human beings?
Why can't we keep away from one another if we don't like one
another?
Why waste our lives behind bars when there are so many good
things to see and look forward to?
No world needs to be perfect but why not give peace and love
rather than war?
This piece focuses on a strong message about choosing
understanding over violence, and the idea that peace is something people can
work towards even if the world is not perfect.
OUR DULL GREY WEATHER!
Although today the weather changes very quickly from hot to
cold all over the UK, the sky in the Black Country changing from black to white
but very rarely blue these days.
You always miss the black, white, dull or grey sky turning to
blue, I wonder why?
Today you never see the sky without a cloud.
Most of the time the weather doesn't tell you the truth.
Never believe it if the sky is blue in the Black Country, that
it's warm enough or hot enough outside.
Never believe it when the sky is grey, black, white or dull
that the weather is cold.
Carry your coat or put it in a bag just in case because you
can go hot and cold in seconds, in fact less time than that at times.
The Black Country started off with smoke and coal, now it's
turn to thunder and rain that has washed out the old coal fires, maybe a little
sun if we're lucky.
This piece captures how quickly weather can change, and also
reflects how places themselves change over time—moving from industrial smoke
and coal to rain, cloud, and the occasional sun.
WHAT I HAVE FOUND OUT ABOUT THE BLACK COUNTRY
An American consul Elihu Burritt in Birmingham 1862, once said
or wrote about the Black Country, “Black by day and red by night.”
When we think about Elihu having said that Black Country
saying maybe he gave the Black Country its name.
How strange a British American could have so much truth of
describing the Black Country.
This was because the Black Country area had a 30ft coal seam
in the 19th century. This came from West Bromwich, Oldbury, Blackheath, Cradley
Heath, Old Hill, Bilston, Dudley, Tipton, Wednesfield, parts of Halesowen and
Eynesbury.
This piece reflects how powerful language and history can
shape the identity of a whole region. The Black Country’s name is closely
linked to its industrial past, coal mining, and ironwork, which left a lasting
mark on its landscape and history.

We shouldn't build our hopes up these days.

𧩠NO ONE
KNOWS NO ONE
You made me to be in this world.
The first twenty-one years of my life you weren't there.
I was no one to you, at least it felt that way anyway.
You were no one to me, it seemed as if I wasn't anyone to you
because I never saw you.
When I first met you at the age of twenty-one, I thought we
put the piece of the jigsaw together but I was wrong.
Now I feel as if a piece of jigsaw is missing in me again.
I think I have lost myself again.
Perhaps part of me was always missing and always will be.
Why do I feel like two human beings are missing out of my life
too?
Why do I feel they are asking unanswered questions like I did
as a child?
I want to help them because I know how it feels, it's as if
you are in the dark.
It feels like I am feeling the same way again as I did as a
child knowing that my half brother and sister are going through the same as I
did.
I'm their half big sister, of course I want to be there for
them and help them.
You aren't going to help them are you?
Don't you realise what you have done and how it has affected
our minds?
The past doesn't matter, I've been there all my life.
It doesn't matter now, it's about my younger half brother and
sister.
I am the past, they are the present and future.
No one knows no one, it's all a mystery.

π️ ABOUT MY
POEMS
I started writing poetry after a breakup in 1997.
Reading John Keats inspired me.
My poems were published by Poetry Now.
I wrote about love, homelessness, disability and life
experiences.
π CRYING
OUT FOR LOVE
Why can’t I be loved?
Why do I feel love is gone for me?
I just want someone to care.
π MY
LONGEST TRUE LOVE
My first serious love will never be forgotten.
Even though it ended, it mattered deeply.
π DRAGON
Be careful when speaking to the dragon.
She can be fierce but also kind.
π PEOPLE
(8 Sept 2008)
We are all human beings.
Different skin, different beliefs, but all equal.
We should accept each other.
Do not hurt or kill.
π️ PEACE
AND LOVE
We are all prisoners in our own countries.
Why do we hurt each other?
Why not choose peace and love?
π§️ OUR DULL
GREY WEATHER
The Black Country weather changes quickly.
Smoke, coal, rain and cloud.
Rarely blue skies.
π WHAT I
HAVE FOUND OUT ABOUT THE BLACK COUNTRY
The Black Country was described as “black by day and red by
night” due to coal and industry.
Many towns made up the industrial region.
π YOU
NEVER KNOW (2011)
Life can change suddenly.
One day good, next day everything changes.
We must try to understand others and keep going.
π§ TRYING
TOO HARD
The worst is not always as bad as it seems.
Think positive when possible.
π¨ FEAR
I fear losing control of myself in love.
I struggle with trust but try to learn.
π
TOMORROW
IS ANOTHER DAY
Tomorrow is unknown.
Good and bad both change.
Nothing stays the same.
π LIFE
AFTER LOVE
Love can hurt deeply.
We must try to move forward even when it is hard.

CONTINUED WRITING COLLECTION (2011)
π
MORNING
(27.10.2011)
The day has just started.
The clouds are white.
The sky is grey.
I find it hard to think good or bad thoughts, I just get on
with my day.
Nevertheless I am ok until I come back from the Job Centre.
I get a letter through my door from Income Support saying I
said I am working when I haven't said anything at all.
I am working hard not to let these Benefit people stress me
out before I scream and shout.
The only you in my mind keeps me calm.
I'm willing to stay stable and calm despite the fact the
problem needs to be looked at as soon as possible.
π EVERYONE
IS LOOKING AT ME
The bar is crowded.
I try to find a corner.
I try to find a space to wait for the crowd to calm down.
Everyone is looking at me knowing that I fear crowds.
I walk out the pub, where I go next is unknown.
I come back, there are less people standing by the bar as I
get myself a drink.
Now I take forever to find a seat.
People are staring at me knowing I am stressed.
They look at me strange. I turn my head away.
Then I smile.
They wonder what I am smiling at.
I am thinking I don’t need a reason to smile.
Who cares what they think?
π CHANGE
You cannot avoid change.
One bus goes, another comes.
One love goes, another may come.
When? Unknown.
Today. Tomorrow. Next week. Next year.
Who knows?
Take life day by day.
Try hard enough but don’t give up.
Never think you can get everything you want.
π YOU
Whatever worries me, you ease my mind.
Having you on my mind keeps me going when life is tough.
I can accept everything in life when I have you on my mind.
I do everything I can to stay strong.
π’ NO MORE
TEARS TO CRY
No more tears to cry but sadness is still here.
It was all so long ago.
Nothing was ever done or believed.
I may not cry on the outside but I cry on the inside.
I smile outside but feel pain inside.
Now I believe in myself at last.
π§ JUST GET
ON WITH IT
How I get through everyday, I don’t know.
I just get on with life.
I was too young to understand what was happening.
Even now, over 40, my words can’t speak.
π FACE
TRUTH
Friendship is best or nothing at all.
We cannot fall out if we are not lovers.
You broke my heart.
Now I walk away.
I will never come back as anything more than a friend.
π BELIEVE
YOU ARE THERE SOMEWHERE
I believe you are out there somewhere.
Don’t chase, don’t hope too much.
Live day by day.
Let life happen.
π WHAT
HAPPENED?
You were sweet when I met you.
Then you changed.
You broke my heart.
I stayed too long.
13 and a half years on and off.
I could not take more pain.
πͺ I CAN DO
NO MORE
I can do no more.
You had your chance.
Now I walk away.
I choose happiness now.
π« I
BELIEVE SOMEONE LOVES ME
Somewhere, someone loves me.
Even if I don’t know who.
I never give up on love.
π WE ARE
NEVER TOO OLD
We are never too old.
Life is for living.
Enjoy life, don’t waste it.
Believe in yourself.
π FEELINGS
Feelings are hard to control.
Love is unpredictable.
The future is unknown.
All I know is I love him.
π IT ALL
SEEMS LIKE A LONG GOODBYE
Goodbye is hard.
I don’t want to say goodbye without knowing when I will see
you again.
I will wait.
I will call.
I will text.
Because I love you.
π EVERYONE
IS ALONE BUT NOT ALONE
We are not alone.
We are all going through hard times together.
We must make the best of what we have.
πͺ PUTTING
ON A BRAVE FACE
We must smile through pain.
Life is what we make of it.
We can work it out together.
❤️ LOVE
Love brings happiness.
Love brings pain.
We must try anyway.
The right person may come one day.
π ANOTHER
WORLD
Life is not always black and white.
Truth is not always easy.
We must try to understand what is real.
π TOO HARD
TO SAY GOODBYE
It is hard to say goodbye.
No matter how much I miss you, I will not give up on you.
I will always love you.
π NEW
POEMS OF 2011
π€ I’M
ALONE NOT ALONE
Loneliness is my friend who doesn’t reply back when being
spoken to.
Loneliness is my home.
If I want a reply to what I say, I’m out and about.
Night time is the time when I’m out, even if people don’t
speak to me.
Life carries on without you even though I love you so much.
When I’m out I don’t know if or when I see you again, but
seeing little of you suits me fine.
My bed is calling and waiting for me at the end of the night
or the morning light.
Loneliness is waiting for me yet again.
Therefore no one knows my private thoughts about me and you
other than me and you.
When I can’t sleep I think about you.
When I sleep I have deep dreams about you.
If I sleep at all, I’m woken by heavy traffic and strong
winds.
I’m not alone to be alone.
π SORRY I
CAN’T SLEEP
I keep counting sheep every time I try to sleep.
Maybe I have lost count of the sheep.
They keep me awake by saying:
“Baa baa!”
It seems like a thousand years since I saw you.
Or was it only today or yesterday?
We may have to wait forever to see one another.
Maybe today, tomorrow, whenever or never.
Never mind, look forward to next time whenever that is.
I may not be a good sleeper but mornings are too cold to get
out of bed.
It’s too warm in bed.
♾️ NEVER
ENDING
It’s not always possible to love the same person forever.
The good is not spending a lot of time together.
The bad is too many heart breaks.
Love seems like a never ending circle from one lover to
another.
Happiness lasts as long or as short as it is meant to be.
Loving one person for life is very rare these days.
I don’t think forever love will happen to me.
One way that is good, another way that is bad.
I’ve cried many times over broken love.
Love starts and ends.
It’s hard to know whether to believe in hope or not.
Commitment isn’t always cut out to be these days.
π THE SUN
ISN’T BRIGHT ENOUGH WITHOUT YOU
It’s been a long time since I saw the sky before the sun.
The air is too cold for birds to fly.
The sun isn’t warm or bright enough without you.
I think about you non stop.
I can never give up on your love.
Nothing stops me feeling the way I do about you.
At times I’m in my own world.
You are on my mind so much I can’t sleep.
When I sleep, my dreams are deep about you.
Sometimes I wish I was a bird so I could fly to you.
I wish I could climb trees, build a nest and rest at my best.
I’m the bird of the sea—come fly with me.
With waves under our feet, that is the love of you.
π CHANGE
OF SEASONS
There’s no longer a long winter.
There’s no longer a long summer.
The weather has a mind of its own all year round.
Paint a picture of an ideal world:
The sky.
The sun.
The sea.
The sand.
The trees.
The gardens.
So the list goes on.
Winter is no longer winter at the right time—it comes when it
wants to.
The snowman for children is now a fairy tale dream.
COLLECTED POEMS & WRITINGS (2008–2012)
WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND? (24.7.2011)
You are more than welcome to what you want to say or write.
It makes no difference if what's on your mind is happy or sad.
Just bring out anything you want to say or write.
Everyone likes to keep most things private, no one is forced
to say or write.
The choice is yours on how you open your world and mind on
what you say or write.
How people communicate with you depends on what subject you
say or write.
Some people don't communicate at all.
Please speak and write your mind.
Don't speak or write your mind if you don't want to.
MARK DAVID CHAPMAN (13.8.2011)
What was on your mind to commit such a crime to the famous
Beatles?
Old, too young to leave earth, he gave his fans such good
times.
You may not be able to mend what's been broken.
Saying sorry may not mend the damage.
You have already long sent John Lennon up to heaven.
Do you believe in Jesus Christ?
Do you believe that Christ will come back to life?
Do you believe John Lennon was or could have been Jesus Christ
just like he wanted to be?
The answers to these questions are very unknown.
Do you believe there will be peace on earth as well as in
heaven?
I was eleven when my teacher Mr Stroll told me John Lennon had
gone to heaven.
I still hear him saying it 31 years on.
Do you believe Christ will come back to life?
Even so, you shouldn't have done what you have done.
NOTHING LASTS FOREVER (13.8.2011)
Nothing lasts forever but I have fallen for you.
You may not always be in my life but you will always be on my
mind.
It isn't all about my feelings, it's about yours too.
Love always ends. You may leave me someday.
I will never give up on love.
No one knows unless they try.
Never build hopes up, but never say never.
Life is very unknown.
WE SHOULD ALL CONTROL OUR MINDS (14.8.2011)
We should all control our minds then there wouldn't be so much
crime.
No reason is a reason to kill.
There's no perfect world.
We disagree with each other sometimes.
If we can't cope, we should walk away.
Help is better now than before, but there is still a long way
to go.
We cannot like everyone, but hate is a very strong word.
THE WORLD IS A STRANGE PLACE (14.8.2011)
The world is strange like you and me.
Life is what we make it.
The world is not the problem, it is us in it.
We must think about good things.
Clear bad things from our minds.
Writing poetry helps me.
Drawing, painting, and exercise helps too.
EVERY DAY (18.8.2011)
I miss you every day.
My world is empty without you.
I don’t think I will ever give up on you.
When the sun shines it doesn’t feel right without you.
I wish we had more time together.
Even little time is better than nothing.
WEM PLEASE (18.8.2011)
I nearly went to Wembley when I meant Wem.
The ticket collector laughed.
I was only 17 and scared.
I got off at Shrewsbury.
My mother was waiting at Wem station.
We laughed afterwards, but it was confusing at the time.
YOUR WORTH THE WAIT (18.8.2011)
I feel love for you.
This love will never die until I die.
I’d rather miss you than lose you.
If you leave, I will move on.
Love may change, and life will continue.
I WILL NEVER AGAIN CHASE LOVE (18.8.2011)
Love will have to come to me.
I never looked for you, you found me.
If it doesn’t work, we stay friends.
Take life day by day.
Never say never.
OPEN UP YOUR MIND (19.8.2011)
If something needs to be said, say it.
Don’t be scared.
Some things are hard to talk about.
But sometimes they need to be said.
FIT’S EPILEPSY (26.5.2002–2.6.2012)
Why have I not been well?
My body feels like a machine shaking.
Headaches, dizziness, shaking.
Flashing lights affect me badly.
Sounds like fireworks or loud noises scare me.
It feels like storms inside my head.
I lie down and wait for it to pass.
It feels like wires and electricity in my brain.
Stress makes it worse.

Introduction – Tuesday 6 August 2013
Hi everyone, happy New Year and I hope you have had a nice
Christmas.
Firstly I want to say thank you for your comments to those who
have over the years, sorry I haven't gotten back to you to those who may be
still reading, and thank you for your patience.
I have no excuse other than being thoughtless. I have had this
website for 18 years with the support my Mum and sister. We set up this website
just after my Nan died. This website is not only about me, but for others who
face similar, their family, parents, friends, others who may teach them,
support them, care for them, and more. Even though I concentrate on my
first-hand experience of having disabilities and mental illness. Also, I guess
those who may like art, poetry, and more.
We all have our opinions on what is good and bad. I would not
call myself a good artist, I would call myself a good poet, it is just words
and pictures trying to express what I am trying to say.
As you may imagine, I don't know who my readers are. Now for
saying this, I guess you may be thinking it's about time Sara is making
changes. I am sorry for the repeated posts but I am going to try this year to
delete some old posts and replace them with new posts and I hope to bring new
things that may not be on this website yet. If I am honest I am not sure myself
what.
At the moment for many reasons, I won't bore you with it, I am
not working or studying but I will carry on raising more disability and mental
health awareness and writing poetry, etc.
What may be new is I am doing a lot of artwork as well, and I
am going to try to put it on here.
One thing I have never said sorry for and I am doing so now is
not good spelling, not good grammar, not making sense, etc but hopefully this
does not happen in every word I say.
It may take me quite a while to work this post alone, I have
so much to do so sorry if this takes so long. I hope to achieve a lot by the
time this new year has finished and hopefully it will be more interesting than
what it has been. At the same time I understand I cannot please everyone and
again I am very sorry about that due to my disabilities and more but hopefully
I make sense in the best way I can.
π Sorry
World
I understand that you may not understand me.
I am not alone, there are plenty of others who face the same
if not similar to me.
It is hard for you to understand what it is like to be us.
It is hard for us to understand what is like to be each other
because we have so much of us different from one another but for some of us, we
are so much the same.
None of us want shame, pretty, or poverty. None of us want
sympathy. We just want to be treated and seen as human beings.
Sorry for our breathing.
Sorry for being here.
We do not mean to be a burden.
We did not make ourselves how we are. We just need a bit of
help. We have abilities as well as disabilities.
π§ Autism
Most people think we are “normal”. What is normal?
We were bullied at school and misunderstood. I did not learn
much at school.
On the positive side, people with Autism are creative in their
own way. I caught up later in college.
π€Έ
Dyspraxia
My speech may not always be clear. I have difficulty with
coordination and fine motor skills.
Writing may be messy. I may struggle with daily tasks.
Dyspraxia also affects adulthood but people can improve over
time.
π Dyslexia
My reading, writing, and spelling are not all good, but I try.
Dyslexia does not mean “thick”. It means thinking differently
and taking longer.
We may struggle with memory, organisation, and processing
information, but we can also be creative and strong in other ways.
π Anxiety
Fear feels like being trapped with no escape.
It feels like pressure, panic, and being overwhelmed.
π§
Depression
It feels like no one understands.
A heavy fog. A black cloud.
Sometimes crying inside even if no one sees it.
π Tiger
Tim
Slow down Tiger Tim.
It’s too soon to rush anything.
A romantic meal, a DVD, getting to know each other slowly.
♿ They
Don’t Know About Being Disabled
They shouldn’t judge us.
They don’t see the hidden struggles.
We are not useless or helpless.
We just experience life differently.
π¬ Chatting
2 U (Version 1)
Friendship started online. Feelings grew slowly.
I have been hurt before so I am careful.
π¬ Chatting
2 U (Version 2)
Same feelings growing stronger.
Still unsure what will happen.
π« Unknown
to Both of Us
We are getting closer but still unsure how we feel when we
meet.
π Too Soon
to Know
Feelings are strong but it is still early days.
⏳ Take

π Tiger
Tim & Princess Sara in Love
Romantic exchange about love growing slowly and naturally.
The voices I heard were shouting at me to wake me up as I was
in my own world.
I think I was been asked questions that I didn't know the
answers to.
The teachers wrote so much jargon on the board in school.
It seemed as if I never paid a great attension with the world
around me.
This is why I learned noithing in school nothing at all.
They moved my table and chair to the end of the class.
Let kids laugh at me and bullying was hell outside on the
playground.
They made me feel so thick and small that they all called me
thicko.
For all the tablets I took, if I were still taking them my
adulthood would have been distoried as well as my childhood.
Now kids and teachers I'm not the person I was, I've learned
more since I left school.
In school I learned nothing at at all. 9.12.12
Why did you?
Why did you play with my mind?
Why did you make me cry?
You knew I told you I loved you that's why.
Now things have turned the other way round.
The only difference is that I mean what I say.
I don't feel the same towards you like I used to.
Your loss you never loved me when I did love you.
You only pretend to love me to keep me happy.
I can't believe I lived 13 and a half years with a lie.
Why should I care how you feel anymore because you never cared
about my feelings when I had feelings for you. 9.12.12
Feelings
I meant everything I said to you.
I only wish I said nothing at all.
I wish I kept my thoughts to myself even though nothing has
been said ever since.
Sorry I said it at the wrong time.
I must move on to think that you don't feel the same as I do.
I know I got up set before hand but I have a lot on my mind.
I bet you wonder why I feel this way all of a sudden.
I have shocked myself to think it's sudden for me to feel this
way about someone at this point. 12.12.12 - 23.12.12
Out of all poems
I bet you'd be shocked to read what I have to say to you in
this poem.
I bet you wonder why I have written this poem all of a sudden.
Out of all poems I have written this has not been an easy poem
to write.
I have had to write a few poems to get to my point to accept
the things I want and can't have in life.
Saying how I feel isn't easy otherwise I wouldn't have written
this poem.
I have written this poem because I don't want to show you up
in font of people in the pub. 12.12.12 - 23.12.12
It may not be as bad as I think
Sorry there's no easy way for me to tell you.
I never thought I'd feel this way about someone so quickly.
I feel so silly because I don't know you very well.
I can't bring myself to tell you because you may not speak to
me again if I do.
In a way I want to tell you but in another way I don't.
I don't want to make life hard for you but I would be lieing
to myself and you if I said I don't feel this way.
I may be worrying about nothing.
I don't want to risk losing your friendship.
I've tried so hard to block you out my mind but it's no good.
I hope I don't find myself telling you one day.
I must learn to accept friendship again.
I don't want to spoil things in case you have someone special
in your life.
Despite of the way I feel about you, I must cope with it
because I have so much respect for you. 12.12.12 - 23.12.12
Finding it hard to trust you
I shouldn't have trusted you from the start.
I'm so gald I didn't marry you.
Even now I'm not sure whether or not you were cheating on me.
Even now it's hard to say wheather or not you were unfaithful.
What makes me think this is that you were texting alot infront
of me and getting texts back.
You made me feel very stressed and very uncomfortable that's
why I won't have you back.
I kept on thinking this was a bad dream.
I may be wrong in what I did thought but the texts you sent
and the texts you had back went on far too long because I loved you so much.
13.12.12
Just because I haven't cried
Just because I haven't cried it's going to be a wet Christmas
without you.
Eatting less affects my emotions.
The nasty things the others have put through the pain made me
cry more.
The pain from you hurts more because there was no pain but it
hurts more than things now won't be the same again.
To me your so special I try to tell myself next time I will do
even better.
May the best of love for me has gone.
I can't believe that there may well never be another you.
May be I shouldn't have written this poem, If I hadn't I still
would have been your love. 23.12.12
Scared of getting old and alone
May be I shouldn't be scared of being old and alone.
May be I should be strong enough to take the not to love
again.
May be the pain from others have made me stronger.
I must be weak to be scared to be old old and alone.
Yet I'm ashamed to be weak. 23.12.12
I'm a lot more down than I show
Although tear don't cry the pain is deep down inside.
No emotions cried out.
A smile might be on my face but the pain and feelings are deep
down inside.
Losing weight has now been my way of showing my emotions even
I need to lose weight.
Eating less seems to be the way instead of crying.
If only I spend the time with you when you offtered me to.
Even though our feelings are still there for one another it
wouldn't be right knowing that things won't be the same again.
Whatever I would have done I would have felt so ashamed.
It was a no win situation.
I didn't know what to do for the best. 23.12.12
When I first met you
When I first met you to me you were just a friend.
I never thought I'd love you more than a friend.
Now that I have lost you I see no other lover.
Everything that was said between us we told no one else but
ourselves.
May be I will love again but a long time to come or never at
all.
It's hard to see the wood between the trees.
Take no notice of me I'm just so silly you see.
I'm just a middle aged lady feeling sorry for ones' self.
23.12.12
The future is unknown
It's hard to believe that someone special has gone out my
life.
I didn't mean to make myself misunderstood.
How long will it take for me to get use to you not being mine
anymore?
The future is so unknown.
After having been with someone as nice as you, it's hard to
believe who could be nicer?
I may love again or never again.
May be 'm stronger and braver than I think to be alone.
The loneliness of getting old. 23.12.12
No going back
No going back where we were.
Our love was always a secret so is our break up.
I wonder who will be in my life next if anyone.
I wonder who will take on your world next.
Getting along with others without saying a word to the world.
How long will she take on your world for?
For me the situation wasn't a problem.
It was harder for me to know your feelings knowing I saw so
little of you.
Yet longer time apart more to look forward to when we were
together.
It was wrong to break when we had something going so special
between us.
May be you think I'm better off with someone who can spend
more time with me.
Yet why would I put up with someone all the while when I have
done it before? 23.12.12
Not the same
Feelings far too strong but empty.
Thinking about you non stop.
Trying to keep my mind busy to accept the fact what I want
back I can't have back.
Not the same without your love.
Can't eat as much as normal. 24.12.12
Hard to believe
Hard to believe that your not mine anymore.
Hard to believe that I'm not yours anymore.
Yet our love is still there for one another.
Words I said I made myself misunderstood.
I just wanted to know if you still felt the same way about me
as I do about you.
Why did you end our love knowing that we still love one
another?
How much time together and apart didn't matter to me I loved
you all the same as I still do.
May be it's you that can't cope with your own situation.
24.12.12
If only I could stop myself from having feelings
If only my heart would stop beating for you.
The more my heart beats the more it breaks for you.
I have to tell myself that we aren't together anymore.
Every time I full in love it always fails.
Love is a feeling hard to control.
Feelings are something that you can't rush to go away.
Feelings take their own time to go away or stay with you for
life.
At this point is unknown how long my feelings will last for
you. 24.12.12
Some things are better not said
It's unknown when he will come along.
He will never know about you.
Now our love has gone there's nothing to tell.
Yet in thoughts our love is still there.
Thinking is different to speaking.
I will never cheat but I will never forget the love we had.
Our secert still stands as I said some things are better off
not being said.
As wicked as the secert is it's kept a secert for safety
reason.
A private reason to protect ourselves and people. 24.12.12
Mail and communication
Times are changing all the while.
It's hard to know whether communication is getting better or
not.
From telegrammes to letters from letters to texts from texts
to emails not forgetting faxes.
Whatever next to come.
Keep the clock ticking.
Keep the phones landlines and moblies without a sound.
Turn the volum of peoples' when voices down when walking down
the street.
When you heard strangers shout it seems like they are talking
to you.
Keep the texts coming in without a sound but keep the emails
coming free.
Bring back the call boxes but no heavy snow.
Bring back walking miles to the call boxes so that it cuts
down the traffic on the roads.
Traffic costs too much to run is to why the country's money is
running out. 24.12.12
On heat hanging on the ceiling
I sat under the light hanging on the ceiling.
The lamp shaid was shaking.
The heat was rising.
I was hanging.
The room span round and round as if I had a good many drinks.
I saw stars on the ceiling spining around with me.
I had a very bad hair day after I washed my hair.
It went from wet and curly to dry to fizzy as my hair felt the
heat.
I tried everything I could to make it dry and curly but it was
no good.
This was just me chasing dreams of freedom. 28.12.12
Bunny rabbit
I'm a bunny rabbit.
I have stickie out teeth.
I live in a hutch.
I eat carrots.
I can see in the dark.
I get so bored inside my hutch that I run wild when I am out
of it. 28.12.12
Treatment
Living on medication isn't fun.
Feeling dizzy and in another world.
You can miss what's going on around you.
It's hard to keep up with the rest of the world around you.
Many medications don't treat you like they should you.
Some medications that right you right bright something else
on.
If life is like this then what are we here, what is life all
about? 28.12.12
Freedom of speech
You are born alone.
You die alone.
The world is nice to you when you are born.
You have a lot to learn.
You have a lot of good and bad to face.
Not all rights are your own.
Self is belief.
To what you think isn't always what others think.
To what you say isn't what others agree with.
No one likes the same.
You don't always have the freedom of speech. 28.12.12
How humans can change
Childhood is unknown to you but known to the rest of the
world.
Everything is so new.
Welcome to the adult world.
There's so much to learn.
You know even less when you spend years in school not learning
at all.
Society has told you you'd never get anywhere in life.
You believe others around because you are a child.
You are misunderstood so you feel very bad inside.
Your past haunts you so bad that you have to find your own way
to express yourself to be understood.
Only then society realises there's something about you after
all, that is talent.
No matter who we are all good at something just most of us
take longer to get there. 28.12.12
Unknown world
Everyone is around you is speaking but your not hearing a
thing.
No sound to be heard but people are making movements around
you.
Not everyone understands everything about you.
You don't understand everything about them. 28.12.12
Dark world
Nothing is seen in the world around you.
Sounds are heard everywhere you go.
You don't know when if you are going to feel anything and what
you are going to feel.
You don't know what's going on when it's going to begin and
end.
You don't how it's going to begin and end. 28.12.12
What is to come?
What is to come?
The future is hard to tell wait until tomorrow comes.
May be I will travel again when I am old.
I haven't worked hard enough yet.
May be I will be old when I see the sun.
For now my career comes first.
My career has been slow to come.
Now I am over 40 life is too short to waste.
You have spend your life fighting for your career.
It was never a career you thought of yet it's a career for
you.
It took so long that you thought you'd be good for nothing and
no one. 29.12.12
What next?
I have tears I need to cry that haven't yet.
One day I will cry over you but I don't know when.
New year is not long to come so is that sparking champaign.
Spring should be on it's way but they tell us we have a long
cold winter to come.
The sunshine seems a long time to come if ever at all 29.12.12
See what tomorrow brings
No one can say for sure what tomorrow is going to bring.
The future is hard to tell until tomorrow is here.
Sometimes we are right and other times we are wrong about
life.
Like the weather people are not always right or wrong.
Look out the window to see what the weather is like when you
get up tomorrow.
They say the world is going to end caused by the weather
therefore we will either freeze or burn to death by sun or ice.
Worry and Stress is the wrost killer of all.
We think we have the whole world on our sholders when we are
young.
As we get old we worry less.
I can still hear much older people say when I was young.
" Worrying get's you in your grave."
At the time I never understood that saying.
Now I see the truth in that saying because I just live my life
day by day. 29.12.12
Poetry, Aniexty and depression
It's poetry that helps me accept life as it is.
As long as I keep my mind busy.
As long as I live my life busy.
Like us all as long as I have something to look forward to I
can cope with life.
I am down if I have nothing at all.
I can't fight Aniexty and depression without poetry.
I can't cope in life with nothing.
I get sad and angry if I sit all the time bored.
Helping others helps me along.
Poetry helps me let out my thoughts. 29.12.12
Without poetry
Without poetry life would be more painful than what it is.
Without poetry I would look and feel silly for being down for
no reason.
Poetry makes life as less as bad as what it is.
Poetry makes me see life different to what I'd be without
poetry.
Without poetry I would never feel good about myself, I would
be angerly about myself.
When see the good in yourself you see the good in others.
Life is what you make it in one way but not in another.
Each and everyone of us I believe have something inside us.
We just cope with good and bad in life in different ways.
Most of us think thoughts too much, this where poetry comes
in.
I'm a person who has a lot of thoughts which have for many
years put into poetry.
Without poetry I would have held too much back. 29.12.12
When I feel anger
When I feel anger I don't want to live.
When I feel anger I feel stress and tense.
There are too many thoughts going through my head to a point I
want to write poetry.
I need to stop myself from getting angry and depression mainly
when it's for no reason but sometimes there are reasons.
I need to stop myself from doing and say things I regret.
29.12.12
The Mind
This is unknown to think what we are going to think.
Unknown to why we think what we think when we think.
Most thoughts seem odd to others yet unknown why to the person
who thinks those those thoughts.
Yet many thoughts seem odd to the person whose thought them in
time to come.
Thoughts can be unknown like feelings can be unknown.
Some thoughts and feelings may last for life others may only
last for a certein amount of time which either be short or long.
The thoughts we think can't please everyone.
What a boring world it would be if we were right and good all
the time.
Not everyone is bad all the time even though a lot of us think
we are. 29.12.12
Learning
Learning is a good thing about life.
Without knowing it we learn something new everyday.
Some of us learn quicker than others.
Some of us learn slower than others.
As life is ending we haven't learned enough but better going
through life learning nothing at all. 29.12.12
Too much to cope with in life
The head spins round and round.
Everyone makes out no one knows nothing at all about anything
at all.
Too many people say different things to one thing.
There can't be millions of answers to one question can there?
Too many things happen at once or nothing at all.
They want you in too many places at once.
Too many people talk to you at once.
At times life is just too much at once. 29.12.12
I am what I am as well as who I am
I am what I am as well as who I am.
What I was born to be is what I was to be as well as who I was
born to be.
Who I was born to be is me.
I learned to be strong minded with not a great deal of chioce
in life due to my abillities.
Yet the change in me I don't think anyone or myself would be.
The person as a child and the person as an adult are two
different mes.
It was hard for me to believe in me because others found it
hard to see the good in me.
Now I have learned a lot in adulthood even though there's a
limit of what I can do. 29.12.12
I think now the end has come
It's too easy to think your life is over when being over 40.
A lot of break ups of marrages and relationships have late 30s
to early 40s.
You stand and look in mirror to see what has changed in you
not only the person you are in looks.
Too easy to think love has gone forever when your middle aged.
You tend to think this is the end but it's not in everyone.
That doesn't mean I am right because the truth is unknown to
everyone.
It's hard to think of yourself growing old alone. 29.12.12
I try not to think about it
I try not to think about being lonely.
I try not think about who walks into my life next if anyone at
all.
Men have come and gone out of my life, I guess they will carry
as they always have done.
Thinking more of moving on.
Thinking more of getting strong.
Thinking more of accepting as it is and however it's going to
be.
Time is so unknown anything could happen at time at all.
29.12.12
As it comes
Some things in life are just dreams that many of us try not to
chase.
Other things in life are real life.
It can be hard to say which wrong and which is right.
The truth of the weather is unknown until you look through the
window every day.
Really in this life nothing is sure or unsure until the time
comes.
Life is like a ticking clock as it ticks to the hour through
the day and night.
Life is like the weather rain, snow and shine is unknown until
it comes.
This can work the same as tears, sadness and happiness.
We are born to live then die whatever reason why is yet again
unknown. 30.1.2012
Complete year wash out to bring the New year
2012 has been a long wet year even through the summer.
It's been a complete wash out with floods here, there and
everywhere.
It's unknown what 2013 will bring us.
It's been a wet blow out in stroms and winds.
They tell us January 2013 will bring us the worst winter for a
100 years let's just see it when or if it comes. 30.12.12
I know
I know you still love me like I love you.
Love is not an easy feeling to let go.
How I made myself misunderstood in the text.
I was only trying to ask you how you felt about me.
You told me before Christmas that it was pointless us carrying
on.
For who me, you or both of us?
I can wait forever long.
Is what I am saying right or is this your way of saying you
don't feel the same way about me anymore?
Why not tell the truth to tell me you don't want me in your
life anymore.
If that's the case it may hurt me but at least it may be the
truth.
If you feel this way why was I in your life in the first
place.
I wouldn't have known a thing if I wouldn't have known how you
felt about me at the time.
Don't be scared to tell me the truth even though it may hurt
me.
I'd rather know the truth even if you don't like me.
Please be honest with me too many men have played games with
my mind when they knew I had loved them. 30.12.12
Don't play games with my feelings?
You know I love you so much so don't play with my feelings!
Ok we didn't spent time together last time but that wouldn't
have been wise because of us not been together anymore.
It was hard to say no when I wanted to spend time with you
knowing that I still love you.
It's hard to know whether or not you feel the same way I guess
you did we'd still be together now. 30.12.12
New year 2012 - 2013
Christmas has been and gone.
What's Christmas and New year all about?
To end one year and begin another.
Too much money is spent paying spending all year round paying
off the Christmas debts.
Christmas is a special day for children.
No fun for adults other than to eat too much and get drunk.
Soon be time to diet when the New year is over.
May be the world isn't all black and white.
Like a holiday so nice to have but nice to go home.
Nice to have a break but nice to go back to work. 31.12.12
Start a fresh
Make a fresh start.
What has happened has happened.
What's to happen is yet to come.
Keep memories in your thoughts. 31.12.12
Let the old year out
Let the old year out.
Let go of the past.
Keep the old diary and buy a new.
Shred old documents of 2012 unless they are very important.
Soon these dull bare winter trees will have a very few spring
green leaves. 31.12.12
Last night of the year
Drinking so many hours before the start of New year's day.
Wondering thoughts of what's happened all year through.
The old year has gone the New year is to come.
Here comes the Scottish bag pipes.
The coal fire is keeping us warm.
12am bring out the Champagne and Chandeliers. 31.12.12
Time
It seems a long way off from one year ending to another year
to end again.
Twelve mouth seems like forever, but it's gone a blink of an
eye.
New year's eve and day make the most of it and eat away.
Time to save ourselves for another Christmas and New year to
come.
Every year fly’s by; it makes you wonder life passes by.
We are born to live then to die, it makes you wonder why.
31.12.12
Sorry world.
I understand that you may not understand me.
I am not alone, there are plenty of others who face
the same if not similar to me.
It is hard for you to understand what it is like to be us.
It is hard for us to understand what is like to be each other
because we have so much of us different from one another
but for some of us, we are so much the same as one another.
No more different to all of you.
It is hard for us to understand what it is like for you to be
you.
It is even hard for all of you to understand what it is like
for you all
to be each other because one of you
is different in some ways but the same in others.
How boring would it be if we were all the same in every way
but how boring would it be,
if we were all different in every way.
None of us want shame, neither want pretty, nor want to be
poor, so the list goes on.
Meaning none of us want sympathy.
We just want to be treated and seen as human beings like
everyone.
Sorry for our breathing.
Sorry for being here.
We do not mean to be a burden to you all.
We do not mean to cost you, time, work, and money.
All the same, we did not make ourselves how we are.
There is no way anyone can ask us what we
want to be for the world and ourselves.
No one is to blame, in fact, no one needs to say sorry.
We want to be as independent as we can be.
We did not ask to be different, we are not different,
it is just what is inside us.
We just need a bit of help with everyday skills
some of us more than others.
We have abilities as well as disabilities,
meaning struggles and strengths.
We are more than who and what we were both to be.
We are ourselves.
Not everyone is born with their problems, some come before,
during, or after.
Whichever way, we did not plan it out to be the way we are.
Autism
Most people think we are normal, whatever normal is.
What is normal at the end of the day?
If we stand up, walk, and more, they may think we manage life
the same as them,
and other people.
They don't know what is behind the mask.
If they do see the struggles, they wonder why we do.
Not everyone can do everything the same as everyone else.
Not everyone can do things at the same age as everyone.
Not everyone can do everything, in fact, no one can do
everything.
As a child, like many children, I hated school.
For me, I was surrounded by strangers, which I thought upset
me but
really I was anxious about being away from those
I do know, my Mother and family.
When I did get to know the other children,
I did not learn anything, I was bullied but
I was not alone, other children faced the same if not similar.
Not all the children hated me but most did.
On the positive side, without bragging, people with Autism are
created in their own way.
I caught up with most of my education by going to college.
I have had many meltdowns as a child, teenager, and young
adult but I do not have as many now, and at fifty - five years old I should
have any at all.
Dyspraxia
At times my speech may not be understood.
My speech may not be clear.
That is because I am mildly brain-damaged on the left-hand
side of my brain.
Some people just may face it on the right-hand - side of the
brain.
Dyspraxia is similar if not the same as a stroke.
I do not have the strength to grip.
I can only carry one hot drink at a time, that is in my right
hand.
Sometimes it may depend on whether I carry a cup or a mug.
My hands may shake as pencils may break.
My handwriting may be a mess and all over the good
without lines or a margin on the paper but that is down to my
Dysgraphia.
Dyspraxia is a learning difficulty that causes people
to struggle with skills like cleaning teeth and tying shoe
laces.
Dyspraxia causes fine motor skills difficulties and
coordination difficulties.
However, some skills people may overcome, and others they may
not.
No one knows, who if, when, or what.
It may be different people with different skills.
Writing may hurt people's hands, and they may find it easier
to type.
That does not mean they cannot write or will not.
There are positives in Dyspraxia as well as difficulties,
even though there are a lot of difficulties.
Childhood years may face a lot of messy writing without lines
and margins.
Grammar, spelling, and more may be poor.
People may not be perfect but they may improve the older we
get.
Dyspraxia causes difficulty in adult life as well, household
skills, cooking,
shopping, money, and more.
Again different people may improve in different skills, some
not all skills,
others maybe not all.
Sorry, I do not know for sure, I can only speak for myself
what I am good and bad at.
On the education side, Dyspraxia is similar if not the same as
Dyslexia.
It can be hard to know if someone has Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, or
both.
Maybe search engine the question, the answer may be
interesting.
Some people may find it hard to do jigsaw puzzles, crosswords,
and more.
Dyspraxia is a hidden learning difficulty
but there are abilities, such as creative minds,
like art and poetry.
It can also cause a lot of Anxiety and furstraghten
when people are struggling to do things but
achievements along the way.
I have fallen over and got back up again physically,
and mentally all my life and I am still alive.
Just when you think you will not make it, you do.
Dyslexia
My reading, writing, and spelling are not all good, but they
are not all that bad.
The same for others who have Dyslexia but have strengths and
difficulties in different skills.
Please do not judge us for not being able to read, write, and
spell, we all can, we just have difficulties along the way.
Even those who cannot read, write, or spell at all know what
is going on around them, they have stories to tell and more as everyone with
different strengths and difficulties, different in different people.
We cannot take in what we have read and what people have said
to us.
Some things we may take in, others we may not or we may not
take in anything at all.
That does not mean we are interested or not, it means it is
part of our dyslexia meaning lack of communication and understanding.
Despite that, we may make good poets, writers, and more in
different ways.
We may be good at drawing, painting, and more in different
ways.
We may miss words out of sentences, put words in the wrong
places, know the letters are in the words but put them in the wrong places,
order, and more, this may be the same with numbers.
We may find it hard to create safe passwords but we have
strengths in other ways.
We may not read all of a book if we do, we do not remember
what it is about, same with watching TV but then we may pick up some things not
others but again we all have different strengths and difficulties.
Dyslexia is the same if not similar to ADHD, we may struggle
to concentrate but again maybe in different areas of life as one another.
There is more to Dyslexia than meets the eye, maybe more than
even I can think of, and I may have Dyslexia myself.
Dyslexia and other problems do not make you thick, they just
make you need to think more than other people, which may take more time than
other people.
Each one of us has a talent but in different ways.
Dyslexia in my opinion is a mental education difficulty but
with talents.
What do you think?
Anxiety
If you fear a lot, it is Anxiety.
To me, fear feels like you are locked in a room,
you cannot get out without a key that you have not got.
You feel like you are trapped in your own emotions and
thoughts.
You feel overwhelmed by being surrounded by so many people you
do not know but it takes time to get to know them.
Like you're standing up on a mountain or up the stairs and
down feels like a long fall.
You feel like you have the evil devil or an evil monster
inside you.
You do not feel calm until you are swimming in the deep blue
sea.
You feel like a piece of glass that will smash.
Like your mind is not thinking at all or all the time to the
point you struggle to sleep.
Like your anger like the wind.
Depression
It feels like no one knows what you are going through.
No one knows what goes on behind closed doors.
What are you thinking?
Why are you thinking about it?
Sometimes or some of us do not know why ourselves.
We are either doing too much of something, not enough, or
nothing at all.
Whether it is eating, sleeping whatever it may be.
Depression is like one big fog, a big black cloud hanging
over you until it bursts to rain as you cry.

When the world lost John Lennon
When John Lennon died
I remember walking into class at Kingswood Special boarding
school, Albrighton, Wolverhampton, at the age of 11 in December 1980.
Normally we would all sit down but we were all told to stay
standing still. The atmosphere felt strange to me but I guess it felt strange
to a lot of kids in my class that day. It was as if we were standing to
attention in the Army. I thought we were all in trouble, maybe a lot of kids
felt the same.
“I have some very bad news to tell you,” said Mr Stroll.
Mr Stroll was a very nice teacher but it was just a change of
atmosphere in the classroom, which is no one's fault.
Everything seemed to look very dark. The sky kept changing
from white to grey, grey to white even though there was a lot of snow on the
ground.
“John Lennon was shot last night, children!”
We could hardly speak as our faces went white as ghosts. We
all must have had faces like wet weekends even though it was Monday morning.
The walls of the classroom were pale blue but at that point the blue looked
even paler.
The atmosphere in the room felt even stranger. Everyone must
have felt the same way, if not it must have been me. I have never felt as empty
and blank in all my life. Whoever would have told us, I would have felt the
same. For ages I felt as if a knife was going through me.
π YOU
CAN’T CHANGE WHAT’S HAPPENED NOW
You can’t mend what has been broken.
Mark David Chapman, it’s too late to say you’re sorry because
you have already done the damage.
John Lennon hoped to be like Jesus Christ and come back to
life.
Do you believe in Jesus Christ?
Do you think he will come back to life?
Maybe Jesus will but John Lennon won’t.
John Lennon believed in peace on earth.
I was 11 years old in the classroom when Mr Stroll told us the
bad news.
I can still hear him telling us now, 30-odd years on.
The peace John was hoping for on earth, I hope he gets in
heaven.
π΅ John
Lennon
John Lennon was a young hippie in the 1960s.
He believed in peace not war.
He would not be happy with the world being any other way.
Today he’d be rolling in his grave if he saw what a mess the
world is today.
John wrote great songs and poetry.
He drew and painted lovely pictures.
He was a very clever man.
The sad thing was that he did not die in peace but with a
bang.
Everyone thought he would die peacefully at a grand old age in
his sleep.
π Love
Give the world as much love as you can.
It takes all kinds of people to make a war, but it takes all
kinds of people to give love.
We are all in the same boat fearing for people’s lives and our
own.
We should get through life together by loving and supporting
one another.
No one knows what will happen from one day to the next.
We must give as much peace and love as we can.
Be brave enough to take it day by day.
⚔️ War and
Peace / Life
What a life.
Make sure you have good times and try to get through the bad
times.
You start off young and end up old, learning more than you
know now.
Everyone wonders what life is about.
Life is what you make it.
Many people risk their lives for others.
There are too many dangerous people in the world.
Heaven could be the most peaceful place if it exists.
πΈ My
memory of George Harrison
Like a lot of us, I never knew George Harrison as a person.
I know as an ex-Beatle he played guitar.
It was sad that he was not here to be sixty-four.
The happiest thing is he did not lose his hair.
By the time I understood The Beatles, they had split up.
John Lennon died when I was 11.
Twenty-one years later, his music is still with us.
We all miss him.
Have a nice rest George.
π Age 27 –
1997
At the age of 27 in 1997, it was a bad year.
You broke my heart, you tore me apart.
Life did not seem worth living.
It all felt like a dark tunnel.
The winter was dull and cold.
I discovered Shelley and Keats in the summer.
I started writing poetry and realised life was worth living.
Poetry helped me survive.
Jim Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison all died at 27.
They were creative people who suffered depression.
Poetry helped me pull through my breakdown.
✍️ How did
he write?
How did he read what he wrote?
He must have been a remarkable guy.
How did he write if he was blind?
People with disabilities are creative.
We all learn through different senses.
How did he know what he was writing?
How did he put thoughts onto paper?
In the 1600s there was little support.
John Milton lived in that time.
Blindness is not only sight — dyslexia is word blindness,
autism can be mind blindness.
People with disabilities achieve more than others think.
They just do it in different ways.
π Jonathan
Swift (1667–1745)
He wrote about ships sailing on rough seas.
He must have grown up around the sea.
He had epilepsy like me.
I am lucky to have medication.
There is always a way of achieving things in life.
People with disabilities have always achieved things, even
without support.
Many were only recognised after death.
Today we understand more than in the past.
π Sorry
World
I understand that you may not understand me.
I am not alone. There are plenty of others who face the same,
if not similar, to me.
It is hard for you to understand what it is like to be us.
It is hard for us to understand what it is like to be each
other, because we are both so different and yet so similar.
No more different to all of you.
It is hard for us to understand what it is like for you to be
you.
It is even hard for all of you to understand each other,
because although you are the same species, you are still different in many
ways.
How boring would it be if we were all the same in every way?
But how confusing would it be if we were all different in
every way?
None of us want shame, nor pity, nor to be judged.
Meaning none of us want sympathy.
We just want to be treated and seen as human beings like
everyone else.
Sorry for our breathing.
Sorry for being here.
We do not mean to be a burden.
We do not mean to cost you time, work, or money.
We did not make ourselves the way we are.
There is no way anyone can choose what they are born with.
No one is to blame. In fact, no one needs to say sorry.
We want to be as independent as we can be.
We have abilities as well as disabilities.
Struggles and strengths.
We are more than what we appear to be.
We are ourselves.
Not everyone is born with their challenges. Some come before,
during, or after life begins.
Whichever way, we did not plan to be this way.
Autism
Most people think we are “normal”—whatever normal is.
What is normal at the end of the day?
People may see us stand, walk, and function, and think we
manage life the same as them.
But they do not see what is behind the mask.
If they do see struggles, they wonder why.
Not everyone can do everything the same.
Not everyone can do things at the same age.
In fact, no one can do everything.
As a child, I hated school. I was surrounded by strangers and
felt anxious, mostly about being away from my family.
I was bullied, like many others.
Not all children hated me, but most did.
On the positive side, people with Autism are created
differently in their own way.
I caught up with my education later in college.
I have had many meltdowns in childhood, teenage years, and
early adulthood—but far fewer now.
Dyspraxia
At times my speech may not be clear or understood.
My speech may be affected due to neurological differences.
Dyspraxia affects coordination and motor skills. It can make
simple tasks difficult.
I struggle with grip strength.
I can only carry one hot drink at a time.
My hands may shake. My handwriting may be messy.
This overlaps with Dysgraphia.
Writing may hurt. Typing may be easier.
Dyspraxia can affect everyday life: cooking, shopping,
cleaning, money management.
But there are positives too—creative thinking, art, poetry.
I have fallen many times—physically and mentally—but I keep
getting back up.
Dyslexia
My reading, writing, and spelling are not perfect—but they are
not as bad as they may seem.
We all have strengths and difficulties.
Please do not judge us for how we read or write.
We understand more than people think.
Some of us may struggle to take in information fully, but that
does not mean we are not listening.
We may become writers, poets, artists, or thinkers in
different ways.
We may miss words, mix letters, or struggle with numbers.
Dyslexia is often misunderstood, and sometimes linked with
ADHD in attention difficulties.
There is more to dyslexia than meets the eye.
It does not mean we are “thick”. It means we think
differently.
Every one of us has talent.
Anxiety
If you fear a lot, it is anxiety.
Anxiety feels like being locked in a room without a key.
It feels like standing on a mountain, afraid to fall.
It feels like being overwhelmed in crowds.
It feels like your thoughts never stop—or stop completely.
It can feel like glass about to break.
Depression
Depression feels like no one understands you.
Like everything is covered in fog.
Like a heavy cloud that never lifts.
It affects sleep, eating, energy, and emotion.
Sometimes we do not even know why we feel the way we do.

Emotional Poems & Relationships (2013 Collection)
Sorry Tiger Tim
Slow down Tiger Tim.
Thank you for my card dear heart.
It’s far too soon to get “randy”.
Have you been drinking too many brandies? (ha ha)
We haven’t even met yet.
It’s far too soon.
But if you wait, take your time, you will win me in the end.
A romantic meal, a DVD night—that is how I imagine us.
They Don’t Know (About Being Disabled)
They look at us like we are mad or sad.
They see the bad but not the good.
They think we are useless or helpless.
But they do not understand us.
Just because they cannot see disabilities does not mean they
are not there.
They do not know—that is why they misunderstand us.
Chatting to You (2013)
When I first spoke to you online, it was friendship I wanted.
But my feelings grew stronger.
I hope it will be worth the wait.
I do not live in hope because I have been hurt before.
But I am learning to trust again.
Unknown to Both of Us
It feels like a long wait, but every day brings us closer.
We do not know how we will feel when we meet.
Online feelings grow quickly—but real life is different.
Only time will tell.
Too Soon to Know
My feelings are strong but uncontrolled.
It is too soon to know what is real.
We must take time.
Take Your Time
Do not rush.
Think carefully.
Life is too short to waste.
Take your time and be sure.
Us
However far apart we are, we are only a message away.
Live for today.
Learn from the past.
Hope for tomorrow.
New Chapter
This feels like a new chapter in the book.
Butterflies in my stomach.
I wonder what will happen when we meet.
Only time will tell.
Friendship
Friendship is the most important thing.
Maybe more will grow—but only if it is right.
We must not rush.
I Believe I Will Get There
I miss you when you are offline.
But I know we will talk again.
My feelings grow stronger every day.
There Is No Reason Why I Love You
I cannot explain why I love you.
I just do.
No one can take that away.
Love should not be judged.
I Don’t Want to Lose Happiness
I do not want to rush and ruin what we have.
Love came quickly, but I must slow down.
We Never Knew
We never planned love.
It just happened slowly.
Now it feels like something real.
John Lennon (Memory)
I remember hearing the news of John Lennon’s death at school.
The atmosphere changed instantly.
Everything felt unreal.
He stood for peace.
Love & War
Give love to the world.
War is created by people—but so is peace.
We must choose love.
What a Life
Life has good and bad.
You start young and grow old.
Life is what you make it.
George Harrison
A quiet Beatle.
A talented musician.
Gone too soon—but his music remains.
Age 27 (Reflection)
At 27, life felt dark.
But poetry saved me.
Writing gave me strength.
New Year 2013
Happy New Year.
A fresh start.
A new beginning.
Hope for better days.
Final Poem: Only You Know
You never really saw me.
Not as a child, not as I grew.
You were not there.
But I carried on anyway.
My life is mine now.

FATHER AND DAUGHTER / FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS
------------------------------------------------------------
I thought it would have been easy for us to be Father and
Daughter.
There are many people in this world in the same boat as us if
not worse.
When I first met and knew you at twenty-one I could see the
future and everything seemed alright to me until many years later when you told
me about the younger children.
Now I know it's hard to build a Father and Daughter
relationship with you through adulthood.
So the end is unhappy how this all turned out. Written
5.7.2000 - 2013
what does it feel like?
I wanted to give you a chance to be my Father; it does not
seem to be like that.
The reason for that is what your family told me or should I
say my Mum about you.
It's hard to forget a family past like that.
Sometimes can put it behind me other times I cannot.
Knowing that I did not see you as a child is still hard to
take in.
It hurt more as a child and that you are not seeing these
children now.
I will still find a way of getting on with my life without you
the same as I had no choice as a child.
Don't think I am afraid that if I managed as a child I can
manage now to live without seeing you.
Written 5.7.2000 - 2013
Men and love.
What has been missing out of my life?
May be I don't need it, may be I can do without love of a man.
Not just in a partner but in my own Father.
Where were you when I needed you?
That was a silly question, was it?
All my life, I have felt anger asking myself why I did not see
you as child.
My entire Mother's family managed very well with me.
I don't feel like your daughter at all.
For whatever reason you could not see me for you could have
seen me for a little while.
You are my Father it seems wrong that you were not around when
I was a child. Written 5.7.2000 - 2013
It's far too late.
My Mother told me about you when I was five.
Why did you confuse my mind?
I know I did not know any difference at the age of five but
you made me feel unhappy when find out at the age five.
Now I am grown up, it's your loss. Written 5.7.2000 - 2013
You have had your chance to be my Father.
My Mother and her family gave you a chance.
You have not changed now, have you?
Forgiving and forgetting is hard.
Now I am an adult you don't feel like my Father, I just feel
like me.

Revealed – Collected Poems & Reflections (2000–2006)
π Life,
Time & Change
The future is anyone’s guess.
No one can say who we will spend our old age with.
We should stop living in a dream world and let life just be.
Thinking life will always stay the same only sets us up to
fail.
Never say never — but if you do, don’t say it forever.
It’s easy to think the next person will be like the last, but
never assume that.
We all make mistakes — but try not to keep repeating them.
π
Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
Yesterday is gone — just forget it if it was bad.
Today is what matters most, so dust yourself down and start
again.
Tomorrow could be good or bad — just get through today.
There are many days ahead, but the good ones don’t last
forever, so value them.
π Love,
Relationships & Heartbreak
When I first looked at you, I wanted you. You knew I wanted
you.
The butterflies flew through my stomach.
It broke my heart when we broke up — I missed you so much.
When I saw you with her, our love turned to hate.
Everyone probably thought I was mad for loving you that much.
I took you back because I missed you.
We must listen to one another and stop hurting each other.
Love can happen when you least expect it.
When you look for love, you often can’t find it — but it comes
when you’re not looking.
π¬ Being
Alone & Inner Thoughts
Life alone means your surroundings become your companions:
table, chair, radio, computer, television, kitchen, bed.
What would it be like to see nobody?
It would be a lonely world.
There would be no one to answer you back.
But sometimes being alone means you do more for yourself.
Other times, you need help in life.
π§ Mind,
Voice & Identity
Nobody ever goes away in your mind.
You sleep beside me in thought.
You move around my bed in memory.
You keep me strong no matter what happens.
I talk to myself — people may think I am mad, so what?
You are not anyone else — you are my voice being heard.
π± Life
Choices & Reflection
Whatever is good, hold onto it.
Take chances when they come.
Try not to do things you will regret.
Think carefully before acting — it may seem good at the time
but turn out wrong later.
Life is like war — full of problems, money worries, education,
jobs, survival.
We are all in the same boat.
π️ Society
& the World
Life in Britain feels like pressure and struggle.
Too many people, too little money, too much inequality.
The rich get richer, the poor get poorer.
We are not truly free.
Some people feel stuck, like life is a prison.
But we should still be thankful for what we have.
π· Alcohol
& Consequences
Too much drinking can wreck your life.
It damages families, relationships, jobs, and health.
Bad heads, sickness, memory loss — the price is high.
Sometimes people don’t remember what they did or said.
Drinking should not be every night — only rarely, if at all.
π Home,
Routine & Time
The writing office is a place of freedom:
writing, thinking, studying, creating.
Time moves slowly when you do nothing.
Time moves fast when you are busy.
Life is short — make the most of it.
π§️ Nature
& Weather
I don’t like cold rain or strong wind.
Rain washes away the moon and stars.
But sometimes rain can be refreshing.
We should welcome sunshine more than storm.
⭐ Heaven,
Loss & Memory
There may be a place called Heaven.
Stars may be people we miss looking down on us.
Even if I can’t see you, I feel you are there.
The world feels like truth mixed with confusion.
π₯ Friends
& Friendship
Friends don’t always stay forever.
Some come and go, but a few remain for life.
A true friend gives respect and receives it back.
I have had friendships that lasted over 30 years.
Shared memories stay forever — school, parties, laughter,
life.
π’ Loss,
Separation & Moving On
I loved you deeply.
We were together for years, on and off.
Even after separation, feelings remain for a time.
But people grow, change, and move forward.
Sometimes love stays — sometimes it fades.
π§ Meaning
of Life & Questions
Does anyone truly know why we are here?
Maybe there is a reason, maybe not.
We are born, we live, we pass on — but the purpose is unclear.
Some questions may never be answered.
π Reality
of Life
Life is not always fair or safe.
The world can feel dangerous.
Children, adults — everyone faces risk and pressure.
But every generation wonders the same thing: what comes next?
π Everyday
Life & Struggle
Busy places feel overwhelming.
Noise, crowds, pressure, disrespect.
Life can feel stuck and repetitive.
But we still move forward because we must.
π§ Past,
Memory & History
I remember Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee (1977).
I remember Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding (1981).
These moments stay in history and memory.
πͺ¦ Grief,
Death & “Talking to the Graves”
You should not be in a grave — you should be alive beside me.
Sometimes I talk to you even though you are not here.
I imagine your presence, your voice, your face.
Why did you have to go?
I wish I could bring you back.
π€ Tributes
& Inspiration
Beautiful people and voices live on in memory.
Freddie Mercury is remembered with flowers and love.
Fifteen years later, people still miss you deeply.
You touched many lives through music and emotion.
✨ Summary
This collection shows themes of:
Love and heartbreak
Loneliness and reflection
Mental struggle and identity
Society and inequality
Friendship and memory
Grief and loss

π All
Change – Then vs Now
Life has changed so much over time.
Years ago, small amounts of money supported families.
Children had very little, yet they were happy.
They made their own games, like hide and seek.
Today, people have more — but it often feels like it’s never
enough.
π Key
message:
Be thankful for what you have.
✍️ Writing,
Dyslexia & Expression
When I write:
I worry about spelling and grammar
I miss words due to dyslexia
My thoughts don’t always slow down
But writing is unstoppable once it begins.
Some days I feel confident.
Other days, my mind feels completely blank.
π Key
message:
Writing is both a struggle and a strength.
π§ Personal
Struggles & Survival
I have:
Survived birth complications
Experienced seizures
Been bullied
Had serious illness (appendix, cancer)
Faced heartbreak
Nothing surprises me anymore.
π Key
message:
Life is hard — but I keep going.
π Love,
Pain & Toxic Relationships
Many poems reflect:
Loving someone who hurts you
Being cheated on
Feeling confused and used
Wanting love but needing freedom
Examples of themes:
“I love you but I hate what you do to me”
“Why should I try if you don’t show love?”
“Being alone is better than being with a bad man”
π Key
message:
Love should not destroy you.

Change – Then vs Now
Life has changed so much over time.
Years ago, small amounts of money supported families.
Children had very little, yet they were happy.
They made their own games, like hide and seek.
Today, people have more — but it often feels like it’s never
enough.
π Key
message:
Be thankful for what you have.
✍️ Writing,
Dyslexia & Expression
When I write:
I worry about spelling and grammar
I miss words due to dyslexia
My thoughts don’t always slow down
But writing is unstoppable once it begins.
Some days I feel confident.
Other days, my mind feels completely blank.
π Key
message:
Writing is both a struggle and a strength.
π§ Personal
Struggles & Survival
I have:
Survived birth complications
Experienced seizures
Been bullied
Had serious illness (appendix, cancer)
Faced heartbreak
Nothing surprises me anymore.
π Key
message:
Life is hard — but I keep going.
π Love,
Pain & Toxic Relationships
Many poems reflect:
Loving someone who hurts you
Being cheated on
Feeling confused and used
Wanting love but needing freedom
Examples of themes:
“I love you but I hate what you do to me”
“Why should I try if you don’t show love?”
“Being alone is better than being with a bad man”
π Key
message:
Love should not destroy you.

✍️ About
These Poems
These poems were written at different times in my life.
They came from my thoughts and feelings in those
moments—sometimes when my mind felt clear, and sometimes when it felt all over
the place.
Some of these feelings I no longer have.
But they are still part of my story.
❤️ Love,
Relationships & Heartbreak
Joyful Happy Love (1998)
Joyful, happy love,
I hoped for forever love.
We went everywhere together,
We should have loved forever.
Now I wonder if he will never love me again.
Without you, my happiness feels broken,
As if it may never mend.
But one day, I will love again—
When birds sing in the spring,
And love is heard clearly.
I’m Frightened to Love (1997–2000)
I am frightened to love,
But also frightened of losing love.
Too many have hurt me before.
Please don’t treat me like a game—
I am human, just like you.
Can we slow things down?
We’ve only just begun.
