It is not easy being understood when you have a learning disability, or even making yourself heard. I am writing this blog to show how my disability affects my day-to-day life and what help & support I need. This blog is for those who learn and work in disability and mental health. I have lived with Disabilities and Mental Health problems for nearly 57 years since birth. I want to help others help others the same and similar to me.

Health and safety training.

1. SAFETY

  • Risk
  • Safeguarding
  • Mandatory reporting

2. LEGAL RIGHTS

  • Data protection
  • Access to records
  • Privacy laws

3. COUNSELLING PRACTICE

  • Boundaries
  • Confidentiality
  • Communication

✏️ SMALL BUT POWERFUL CHANGE (TO AVOID BORING CONTENT)

Instead of:

“Legal responsibilities…”

Say:
👉 “What counsellors must do to keep you safe”

Instead of:

“Data rights…”

Say:
👉 “Your rights over your information”

🎯 WHEN YOU COME BACK

Just say:
👉 “Create Level 2 & 3 PowerPoint now”

And I’ll generate:

  • Full downloadable PPT
  • Easy Read format
  • Symbol-ready layout
  • Trainer-friendly flow (not boring 👍)
