Word Structure: Singular, Plural, -ing, and Word Families

 


Easy Teaching Guide


1. Singular and Plural Words

Singular means one.
Plural means more than one.

Examples:

  • cat → cats
  • baby → babies
  • wolf → wolves
  • box → boxes

Activity 1

Change the word:

  • dog → ____

2. -ing Words (Doing Words)

These words show action happening now.

Examples:

3. Root Words

A root word is the main word before it changes.

Examples:
