🚨 What is a Mental Health Crisis?
A mental health crisis is when:
👉 A person cannot cope anymore
👉 They feel overwhelmed
👉 They may be at risk of harm
⚠️ What can cause a crisis?
A crisis can happen because of:
- Stress
- Mental health conditions
- Trauma
- Life changes
- Loss or grief
🔴 Signs of a Mental Health Crisis
A person may:
- Talk about suicide
- Feel hopeless or worthless
- Self-harm
- Have panic attacks
- Act very angry or aggressive
- Be confused or disconnected from reality
- Stop eating, sleeping, or caring for themselves
🧠 Types of Crisis
A crisis may include:
- 💔 Suicide risk
- 🩹 Self-harm
- 😵 Psychosis (losing touch with reality)
- 😨 Severe anxiety or panic

ALGEE is the MHFA action plan:

- Let the person talk
- Do not interrupt
- Do not judge
👉 Show you care

- Stay calm

- Offer support
