What is Depression?
Depression is a mood disorder that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. It is more than feeling sad. It can last for weeks, months, or longer and affect daily life.
Depression is one type of mental illness. Other conditions—such as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Bipolar Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Schizophrenia—can also include mood changes and may look similar at times.
