Paraphrasing & Mirroring

Paraphrasing = repeating meaning in simple words.
Example:

Person: “I feel overwhelmed.”
Supporter: “You feel stressed?”

Mirroring = reflecting feelings or words.

This shows:

You are listening

You understand

You respect their voice


What is Makaton?

Makaton is a communication system that uses:

Signs (hand gestures)
