Mental health:

  • Is about wellbeing

  • Helps us cope with life

Mental illness:

  • Is a medical condition

  • Can affect thoughts, feelings, behaviour

Same:

  • Affect daily life

Different:

  • Mental health = wellbeing

  • Mental illness = diagnosed condition

  • Dyscalculia

Learning disability:

  • Affects daily living

  • May need ongoing support

These feelings can harm mental health. Support can reduce these feelings.
