Activity 1: Match the Role

  1. Advocate → D. Speaks up for rights and makes sure things are fair.

  2. Counselor → A. Provides a safe place to talk about feelings.

  3. Mentor → C. Shares knowledge and supports a mentee.

  4. Coach → B. Helps people set goals and build confidence.

  5. Self-Advocate → E. Speaks up for themselves and their rights.


Activity 2: Fill in the Blanks

  • Which role is most important? → Encourage students to share opinions. Any role could be argued as most important.

  • How could a mentor or coach help you? → Examples: with schoolwork, confidence, planning for the future, learning new skills.

  • Why is self-advocacy important? → Because people need to speak up for their own needs, rights, and choices in life.
